Unfortunately the $28 Schnitzel was well below standard. The interior was seemingly pink which was my main concern. Also looks to have been pan fried, a substantial amount of crumb was missing, the crumb was saturated in oil/ghee with the edges just being very soggy with one side of the schnitzel barely cooked.nnTook the Schnitzel to the staff to replace with another item, was met by an overly judging staff member, who cut up the piece behind the bar and was giggling about it to other staff members in plain sight, making me feel like an idiot. I asked for Wedges as a replacement and instead received hot chips, after the time taken to receive this I couldn’t be bothered asking to fix the issue. I was also short changed with my refund, the Schintzel and Gravy cost $30.5 and I received $17 in refund. So instead of refunding the previous gravy, they charged me for another gravy that I did not need or ask for. So basically paid $16 for the bowl of chips.nnUnfortunately just felt very uncomfortable about it all. I am not the type of person to usually return food, but the Schnitzel for $30.5 you would expect better quality and not have staff laugh about your genuine request whilst in sight of them. Particularly when there’s food health regarding undercooked chicken as a concern. Nobody wants to be laughed at and gossiped about by staff regarding a genuine concern, it made the rest of the evening very unsettling to be there.
Dropped by for dinner on Sunday night. The ribeye steak special was nice. Cooked medium rare as requested. The crispy chicken salad was tasty as well, with lots of dressing. Service was good and the wine selection by the glass has variety.
Delicious food.nWe were seated in the lounge area which was quiet.nFood took a little while but it was a Saturday night and they had platters of food coming by for a large group in the outside area.nI would happily return.
Been here a few times and it has been mostly good, but the last time on Friday night was very poor. Sat at a table right next to where food is ordered and where a large group with noisy annoying children were sat, which is not ideal.nnThen the food was poor. Salt and pepper squid was chewy, spring rolls were basically all pastry and way over cooked, and my pork belly salad was average pork belly, dumped on top of a basic garden salad anyone could make taste better at home.nnNot sure I will bother with this place again.
Female bar staff of beer garden was misserable, we were there from 1230 to 3pm and there were multiple tables saying the same thing. We wouls say thanks agger serving us a drink and she would completely ignore us.nnKids meals took over an hour to come out. Adult meals chicken burger come out cold. My meal would have been nice but the mustard dressing drowned the chicken and salad.nnBut the other staff were nice, inside and food serving staff were nice, just one sour puss in the beer garden.nnWill not go back unfortunately
