Usually a great location for a reasonable pub meal. Lately, some of the chef specials have not been so good such as the curries. Will keep reviewing.
My wife and I go out for lunch every Tuesday, and this time we recently visited the Broadway Hotel.nnWe brought our own wine and ordered the beef pie, Thai salad with salt and pepper squid, and barramundi.nnLet me say—price, quality, service, and atmosphere were all excellent. We had a lovely time.nnHighly recommend this place.
Just south of Glenelg, this pub serves typical pub fare at reasonable prices. All tables marked as reserved but are only actually reserved if glasses and bottled water are on the table. The drink service was good. Meal service took some time, and one diner got theirs a good 10 minutes after everyone else.
Sadly, first and last visit to this pub. Lunch for 4 in Bistro, 3 were good but wagyu beef schnitzel was tough, uncuttable, inedible. Waitress response when one eventually arrived was to provide doggy bag to take home for pet and promise to tell the chef. No offer to refund or replace with an edible meal.
I made a brief visit to the establishment to find respite from the summer heat. The staff were friendly and provided exceptional service; the venue was bustling, with numerous reservations, demonstrating its popularity with the local clientele. I was pleasantly surprised by the live music; I would rate it 10/10.
