Great hike, abundance of fresh new flowers hiding around most corners. Amazing amount and types of stairs to tackle. Amazing shades of green surrounding you. Secret waterfalls, stepping stone crossings. I couldnt stop smiling.
It’s my first time there. It’s a really bushy and nice walk, even for beginners. There are several lookouts and places to rest. It’s about 3 hours for the whole track.
Brisbane Water National Park hosts several lovely trails including Bulgandry trail with its great Aboriginal art site, the Tunnel Firetrail that leads to some hidden gems such as the old railway tunnel or the waterfall pool. Today I went to Bulls Hill Firetrail an under-rated trail that has a lovely rock platform giving view on the lake.
Lovely views but sure the walk more than 1.1km.
My wife and I have been here couple of times. There are so many things to see and do here. We love its beaches. Patonga beach and Pearl beach would be our favourites. We love the hikes too. The hike from Patonga to Pearl beach is a nice one to do. It is about 5km each way with some steep inclines. There are some great lookouts along the way too. The Piles Creek loop track is a very nice easy hike to do also. A beautiful place to chill is the Paul Landa Reserve. It has some amazing rock formations and views. So many things to do here. Can’t wait to go back.
How can any experience in nature be anything less than 5 stars. Track is well maintained and the path is clear. If its been raining, can be mushy in places but thats nature right. Great stops for valley and waterfall views. Some overhangs so watch your head. Can be challenging in places and some stairs.
The Hawkesbury Track between Mullet Creek track and Tommo's Loop is a beautiful walk. Its a 5.8 km loop from Woy Woy Rd via Tunnel Trail and Mullet Creek track, return up Tommos Loop to the Tunnel Firetrail. It's an easy walk going through heathland and open woodland, with the section of the Hawkesbury Track revealing some interesting rock platforms, some nice views and the occasional scramble up and down rock shelves. The Park is currently alive with birds - honeyeaters, wattlebirds, finches, thornbills, pardalotes, scrubwrens and blue wrens were all seen along the walk. Highly recommended.
Really a good place for multi-day trails.. Just need to be prepared with your own gear.. But car parking is bit of an issue.. Rest is Nature..
There was not much water flowing this time but it was a nice walk. There was a couple little falls though. There were very nice steps which made it a nice experience. There was much more water in July, it was beautiful.
Brisbane water is slowly becoming my favourite national park around Sydney. Beautiful Waterfalls, some nice little lookout points, and beautiful greenery that remains in excellent condition - it makes you feel as if you're the first one ever to step through the park. Can be tough walking at times but nothing too strenuous and doing part of the Great North Walk is a must
