Excellent service and great prices Brisbane Salon! The students are well supervised and do not hesitate to check with senior staff if they're uncertain. Senior staff is knowledgeable and dedicated. It is very reassuring to see them constantly walking around and keeping an eye on everyone. Allow a little extra time, but I've had my best haircuts with them so far thanks to Alex and Chloe. It's a great concept, a win win situation for eveyone. Highly recommended!
My friend Erron recommended this excellent experience. He has been a regular for some time & pampers himself always. It was quite a surprise when I bumped into him there. He must be part of the furniture. Katie dyed my regrowth & gave a barber student a chance to learn how to wash a tint out. His hands were not as confident as Katie's. I was really pleased with the cut & colour on long hair. $47..00 without a blow dry.. Thankyou Katie.. I will be back in 6 weeks. Well now I have my very own hairdresser Beth. I dont know what I will do when she graduates. Great at colour & solving sticky hair problems. A sweetheart.
Just finished getting my hair done, regrowth, cut, style blow dry. Excellent job, hairdresser Pav, go ask for him, awesome job, sooo, happy. top job, not top dollar
The Brisbane School for Hairdressing is a wonderful institution with friendly teachers; however, they are not very supportive in facilitating apprenticeships, endorsing work, or enhancing training.
Very disappointing. After travelling down from the Sunshine Coast for a chemical straightening the Supervisor refused to allow the service to be done saying because my hair was coloured it would break. Never had any problems at the Gold Coast salon for 5+ years previously with the same hair and colour. The staff here are definitely a bit more arrogant and rude than the Gold Coast. My coloured hair chemically straightened from 1 and 4 years ago at the Gold Coast never broke off.
I would like to thank Jenna for an amazing layered cut! Thanks Jenna and the school! Keep up with the good job!
This place is pure chaos! It's a student salon so it takes a lot longer than a standard haircut, that's all good as long as you allow the extra time and are patient. If you have low maintenance hair it's good for a basic cheap haircut - only $30 for long hair! But some of the students are quite unreliable and the reception staff are often stressed out trying to manage students and appointments. So this place has its pros and cons. In summary, good for a cheap simple haircut if you're patient
I get a simple cut with my long hair, so I find they do it with less care. I go to save money but is it worth it because twice out of 3 times they haven't done a good job because they paid little interest to my hair watching other more exciting cuts wishing that was them. One time the supervisor noticed she wasn't paying attention and said to her this is a good time for you to learn. They're students so I understand the cut may not be as perfect as at a salon but you're still a paying customer no matter what.
I used the web voucher. $16.00 for a shampoo, condition, cut and dry. I almost fell asleep whilst having my head massaged during the wash and condition. Very relaxing ! I have a blunt bob cut with an off centre part. The student who cut my hair is the first hairdresser to ever part my hair in multiple places to make sure that my hair was cut evenly. I have paid prices up to $60 for professional hair cuts and have never had my hair cut correctly. I always had to trim the stragglers myself. I will absolutely be going back for every hair cut from now on. Yes they are students and yes it will take a bit longer, but you know what? Sit back and relax and enjoy the experience. After all... It is just hair!
Can I just say what a great time I had getting the $5 haircut. The guy who served me was friendly and did an excellent job cutting my hair to a great standard. I probably would have paid over $30 for this haircut if I went anywhere else so to get one this cheap is way more than a bargain. The only thing that I would add is that you should be prepared to spend a bit of time there because the people who are cutting your hair are trainees. Mine took an hour. But other than that, these people are dedicated to getting the haircut right. Great value overall.
