Story

YHA's Brisbane Backpackers Hostel, Brisbane City YHA, is only a 10-minute walk from the Brisbane Transit Centre.

Renovated in 2009, this contemporary hostel has a sensational rooftop pool overlooking the city and Brisbane River, as well as Drifters Café/Bar, WiFi throughout, group accommodation facilities and regular Nintendo Wii competitions.

This backpackers' hostel has Australiana-themed decor, decked out with spectacular photographs taken by the winners of a photo competition.

The staff here are amazing - always so friendly and professional! The customer service is top-notch. The rooms are clean and comfortable, and the value is unbeatable. There are plenty of spaces to relax and unwind. Feeling safe and secure is a priority here. This is my second visit, and I will definitely be booking again in the future. Highly recommend!
I had the best experience in this hostel from my first 2 weeks in Brisbane to the very last night.nnThe staff are super friendly and the facilities are excellent as well as being very clean, especially the kitchen which is cleaned by the nicest people Jen and her son.nnI would highly recommend staying here in peak season when there is a lot of people and there are lots of activities each day at the hostel.
Outstanding! I stayed here for 2 weeks whilst finalising my relocation for a new Brisbane Based role. The service was outstanding & all the staff are so warm, welcoming & so helpful. A huge personal thanks from me particularly to Emma, Nick & Chris who were beyond exceptional. I am ever so grateful for all the help I received.nI was initially reluctant as I’m in my 50’s & was unsure however I was reassured & felt completely comfortable. I had a private room with ensuite which was excellent & I also experienced a night in a 4 bed dorm.nI was pleasantly surprised & was very comfortable & it was so quiet & peaceful. The hygiene standards are excellent & all very clean with good quality pillows & linen all being lovely. It was quiet for sleeping. The communal kitchen is fantastic with all that is needed & cleaned regularly. Located on the rooftop with a lovely outdoor area with such a beautiful outlook, cafe/bar.nThere are separate private work or rest areas & overall the facilities are superb!nGreat value & a fantastic central location with excellent transportation options. I loved my time here & I highly recommend.nThank you to all the staff who are all 5 nWarmest,nCatherine.
Great location and friendly staff. Room was good but the noise from floor 5 really echos to floor 4 late at night so may need ear plugs. Cafe downstairs is very tasty and reasonable.
Hostel itself is very nice, bathrooms were really modern and clean. Unfortunately one of the girls in my room kept shouting and screaming during the night so not much sleep to be had. Could also hear someone snoring in the room next door.nnYou also get the noise of trains running all through the night.
