Nice place to spend couple of hours at least. Very good instructors. This is one of such place where you can start learning swimming from level zero. They teach both adults and kids. last but not the least, free street parking on weekends :)

Cute and old. It's like swimming in a museum

When this facility was built I gather the vision wasn't possible to imagine future population density and the modern apartments that surround that it would one day serve. Locals tell me neighboring roads were narrrow horse and cart. I am usually only here for one season then I go home. If they knocked out some of the old fashioned changing rooms on either side of the pool they could install a jacuzzi and a sauna to bring in additional revenue for these facilities. They could also offer other physio services like Asian technique massage. There was a lady there yesterday with a disability and senior citizens swim to prevent diseases like arthritis. The pool facilities at the public Bondi Beach in NSW are a good comparison. It's a small village facility and at peak times can be congested. A few of the staff should control their feelings of jealousy and limit their subliminal smartmouth comments. Spring Hill is an international community so it's probably a good idea not to use slang. It's a heated pool. I am wondering how they treat their staff? I saw a nice young man scrubbing the rim of the water's edge. Clearly, to remove these marks you would have to empty the pool and repaint it. The marks are stained on to the surface. I thought it a bit cruel asking him to do that with a household kitchen scourer. The music choices for the retirees aqua classes should be age appropriate. They probably won't like millinieal night club and house music more suited to back packers. What about some jazzy up beat tunes by Tony Bennett and Harry Belafonte? The classes are there to serve the people, not the other way around. A swimming pool is supposed to be a peaceful place and sometimes I don't care to hear the commercial radio they play. It is usually the same tunes every visit, which when over played becomes annoying torture. I don't know about their yoga style classes in the gym, I haven't tried them. At the time when I took these photos I wasn't aware that they were not permitted, so sorry in advance. I didn't know it was "illegal Spoony" ( driving lesson on YouTube)

It's the cutest, retro pool! Old signs still on display letting the men know they shouldn't be loitering down the deep end. The pool is lined on 3 sides with pastel green, yellow and red doors that house small change rooms. I was there at 9am on a Tuesday and was the only person for a while. The pool is heated and there are showers and toilets on site. Definitely worth checking out for a morning swim.

Dates back to 1886. Wonderful English style layout with changing cubicles on each side.
