My son has been a part of Bright ELC for the past couple of years. Credit to dedication of all the educators and administrators for creating a safe and joyful learning experience for the kids. Very happy with all the initiatives taken in designing educational and recreational activities to keep the kids engaged while learning key human values. Good work.
I love that they have excursion every week to bring the kids out to the nature and get to see things at neighbourhood. Not only my daughter find Bright like her second home, I feel comfortable everytime I'm there to send and pick up my daughter. All the staffs there are so friendly and genuinely care for the kids and parents. Well done Bright team
My son has truely grown and opened up a lot since attending Bright ELC, I would highly recommend your daycare as it is very professional, clean and very family orientated. Everyone at Bright ELC has been the best, you can see the love and attention my son has received from the daycare, he always walks in with a smile and comes out walking with a smile. Bright ELC Team truely are the best. My son attends daycare from open to close and never had any dramas or problems been going for over 1 year.
I’ve been working in Bright ELC for quite some time and this service is not only the workplace, but it feels like my second home as I feel included and belong at Bright. Bright team members are respectful, culturally diverse and support each other, but the most intriguing to me is that the educators are the most dedicated people to children. Bright ELC is the best place for children to learn, express their curiosity and at the same time to have fun! I am very fortunate to be part of Bright family.
Thank you very much, the teachers at Bright have been a wonderful support to us as we transitioned back to Australia. Our daughter has just breezed through this change and it’s largely because of her caring teachers.
I've looked at over several different daycares in the area and as a new parent, this can be an anxious and grueling process. But Bright ELC was the place that made me feel confident to enroll my first child into daycare. Firstly, the staff are the most kindest, friendly and welcoming bunch of people! They have a culturally diverse team and embrace all cultural backgrounds and it's been wonderful learning experience for my child to be exposed to other cultures, their food and customs. Secondly, I also appreciate that they've been open to parents feedback and take it on board to continually improve their facility and services. They've been very accommodating to the interests of the children and implement activities or change the environment to support that too. Everything from play, painting, building, arts and crafts, gardening, cooking, reading and bush walk excursions. It's a very stimulating environment for a child's learning and development. Lastly, I appreciate the overall transparency and communication at the daycare. They have Storypark; an app that gives you insight to your child's daily activities at the daycare. The staff log information in your child's daily log from meals, nappy changes, naps and sunscreen application. The daycare also has communication and update posts, as well photos with stories about the activities at the daycare and development of your child. Overall, my son has had a wonderful and positive experience at Bright ELC! If we didn't relocate to another city, we would have continued our son's enrolment at Bright ELC. He looked forward to going to daycare, developed positive relationships with his educators and made friends at the daycare! It's bittersweet, because since we have moved he would ask about an educator or the daycare from time to time. Thank you Mei, Vincent, Jingting, Sara, Daphne, Steph, Manas, Anu and everyone else on the team! You have made this the daycare experience a positive one for us. On our next visit to Melbourne, we will have come by and say hi! But would definitely recommend this place to any parents who are looking for a daycare for their child!
Bright is an amazing place. Being an educator, I learned everything I could to contribute to children’s learning and engaging with colleagues and families. If I had kids, this is definitely a place, I would want my children to go to. Their extra- curricular activities are top notch offering a range of activities from cooking to weekly bush walks.
Bright ELC has a tight knit team and provide a stimulating curriculum for the kids. The Weekly Bush kinder is children’s favourite activity as they get to have a mini excursion weekly, this has been excellent during the school terms. The outdoor space has plenty of shade and is quite natural and inviting. The little ones also receive a lot of attention from the educators. Highly recommended.
My wife and I visited Bright when looking for a centre closer to home for our daughter who had just turned 3. As we both work full time and our daughter would be spending 5 days there, it was important to us that we felt confident. During our visit numerous things made us feel confident straight away. 1. The centre is managed by the owners who are closely involved with the staffing and running of the centre. We really liked that aspect and believed that not only it meant a much more stable environment, it would also cultivate a team of motivated and committed staff. 2. There is a good cultural diversity. After we parked the car, a few girls around our daughter’s age saw us from the outdoor play area and waved at us enthusiastically. We were positive our daughter would be able to make friends easily at the centre. 3. The rooms are clean and well equipped. We noticed a lot of thought and care was put into the rooms from the variety of toys and the detailed decoration. 4. Parking and traffic is great and not affected by peak hour traffic. Easy access both drop off and pick up. At her previous centre, it took our daughter about 3 months to finally stop crying profusely at drop off. We were anxious about her reaction to change, however Mei and Vincent provided the opportunity for us to be involved in her orientation I spent some time at an excursion with them. This time, it only took her a few days, she was immediately taken with the new toys at orientation and liked the idea of “going to new childcare”. She was introduced a buddy to help her settle in. She would come home and tell us about what she learnt and how much fun she had that day. She has since made many friends and even a “best friend” who we organise play dates outside of childcare. She also loves the food there and has multiple serves everyday. One big difference we noticed at pick up is that kids are often sitting in a circle with the main educator ,Stephanie, playing games, reading and singing. This is very different from the previous childcare where kids are just off playing on their own. Although free play is also great for development, I strongly believe that this helps with inclusiveness and give kids the tools to then make friends and play together during free play. I can also see that educators make a lot more effort at this centre in education even right down to pick up time. 9 months in and we cannot be happier. Well done Mei, Vincent and all educators and staff for running a great centre.
My partner walked into this place for a tour the other day and we were not happy with it. He noticed that the owner has staff group all children of different ages together at the start and end of the day because of lack of staff and that there is no consistency of set staff in rooms as the owner gets staff to just move about all the time and only one staff is in the room during rest times with 16 or more children which really shows that the owner is trying to save on money and not provide a quality service. I heard that staff stay back past their shift time and don't get paid every shift and that their shift times are often changed on the day. There is high turnover of staff as well. Staff are friendly but due to the operations of the centre it is definitely not a place that I would like to leave my child. My partner also often saw one staff member having to stand between the indoor and outdoor of a room to supervise a whole heap of children because of lack of staff. They don't seem to do much messy play which is great for children's learning as well Definitely do not recommend
