I've been using Briggs for more than 20 years. In that time they've been brilliant.   I trust them completely.  &lt;Edit&gt;  Went there today with my new car for what I thought were sticky brakes.  Kerry ran through all the appropriate checks, then when I came back explained that my particular model of Japanese import had  an unusual type of transmission which gave the same effect as a sticky brake.  Despite having spent time on me that could have been used earning money with another customer Kerry refused payment.  I keep very accurate petrol usage records and over the last six months I've been getting between 14 and 16 kilometres per litre. If the problem had been brakes as I thought I think that figure would have been considerably less.  I repeat my first paragraph. Have been using Briggs for about 15 years. Best service of any place, and I feel they can be trusted. Particularly memorable was one Easter when the brakes acted up when leaving of town smoking hot; the owner took a look and got us on our way on his day off, and our holiday was saved.Service:&nbsp;Brake service &amp; repair

Used Briggs for many years due to convenience but often found them to be one of these outfits that seems to think they are doing you a favour by doing your work. But after more than one instance of incompetence, no more! Put vehicle in for wof brake repairs clearly stating 'park brake needs adjusting'. KB adjusted all brakes except park brake! Another classic was "can't get the inner of dual wheels off, it's like they're welded on." They had double acting wheel studs... Couldn't be bothered phoning to ask what might be holding them. Just another day off the road for a commercial vehicle. Reg no ATP971; many commercial vehicles those under 6 tonnes can be on WoF.Service:&nbsp;Brake service &amp; repair

We have always had very good service from your company for many years even from the staff. I always know that my car is safe to go on the road,especially when I make long trips to Fox Glacier three times a year.Thank you very much wish you a very Merry Chritmas and hope everything goes well in these challenging times. Went for WOF and are really good. Very good pricing and really good mechanics. Definitely one of the better places to get WOF.

Got a WOF from here. Had to get some new tyres, so went to Tony's. Was told to come back to Briggs anytime to get the WOF approved. Came back on a Friday BEFORE closing time. Was told the computers had been turned off for the day then was rudely told we would probably get pulled over by the cops for not having a WOF. No customer care whatsoever, but hope you had a good Friday lol. Will never be back here again.

Great local mechanic. Honest and reasonable prices. Will be using these guys from now on...as recommended to me
