The staff at Bridal On Pulteney were kind and considerate to my now wife, they made her feel really at home. They have a huge selection of gowns in all kinds and sizes. She loved her wedding dress, it was delivered quickly and is perfect. Thank you!
I had the worst shopping experience at this store so if I could score this store zero stars I would. Last year I went into this store to purchase a wedding dress. When I arrived, I informed the sales assistant that I wanted a dress which was simple, elegant and suitable for a vineyard wedding and I picked out a few dresses that I wanted to try on. When I went into the changing room to get ready to try on the dresses that I picked out, the sales assistant brought in four dresses which I had not selected and were of a princess/ball gown style which I had said earlier that I didn't like. The sales assistant informed me that I should still try these dresses on so I get a better idea of what I want - even though I had been clear on the style that I was after. I then asked to try on the dresses that I had picked out earlier. The sales assistant reluctantly took away the princess/ball gown dresses and brought in some of the dresses in that I had selected. After trying on three dresses, the sales assistant came into the changing room with me to prepare the fourth dress for me to try on. She informed me, while I was in my underwear and feeling very self-conscious, that the fourth dress was the last dress that I would try on as I was from interstate, would not be purchasing a dress today and that I was "wasting her time" – even though I had told her I would happily spend $7,000 on a dress. I left the shop feeling quite upset and not wanting to go to another bridal store that day. I am really glad that I did persist and went to another booking that my maid of honour had made at Jenny and Gerry's. I received outstanding service from Victoria at Jenny and Gerry’s and I also bought a wedding dress that same day from Jenny and Gerry’s!
Very easy to book an appointment and when you haven’t spent any money you get amazing service to find a dress for you. I found the sales assistant wasn’t pushy and helped me find many dresses until I found the right one. Worst part was they had a sale we got no discount. Then they called me to let me know my dress had arrived, I asked to store it there for 4 weeks until I could pick it up. They wanted to charge me over $30 holding fees. I had spent over $3500 in there store. Picked up my dress, they thankfully didn’t charge me a fee. But the reception I got wasn’t very good and I felt like they didn’t really care that I was there. Anyway came to me taking my dress to a different alterations lady as BOPs alterations lady was great first phone call then didn’t respond. Took the dress to get altered to be told the lace for the back was wrong. It kept ripping when doing the back up as it was lace not ribbon. When I contacted BOP with photographic evidence to show that the lace I received was completely different to the designers webpage to get told I was wrong. I would not recommend BOP to anyone. when you go in with a complaint they don’t care. I wish I could Post photos to show everyone the difference
Unfortunately, their motivation is to get the sale! My dress arrived completely different to what I ordered. The Manager did not show any care factor what so ever and I had to pay over a thousand dollars for alterations to have it as close as possible to what I ordered originally. Paid for additional motives as keepsake and still yet to receive. Worst experience, avoid the heartache
I'm not sure whether I just had bad luck but my experience was horrible to say the least. Chose a gown in August 2019, only got my first fitting in January 2020 with a wedding in early Feb 2020. Got told when I was in the change room of my first fitting that the dress I ordered was "ugly" that was the word they used - it was a much darker colour to the one I ordered, and that they had already sent it back. Without telling me beforehand. I was presented with a dress that was the wrong size AND colour. They offered me 3 other options on the day, which included accepting a floor stock, another person's customised dress they didn't want, or a dress of a completely different style. I was so distressed in that situation I agreed to the dress that was the wrong size and colour, made FULL payment and then left. Two days later I told them I didn't want it as it's not the dress colour I initially chose and I didn't want to settle. The manager there refused and stated that she would send back the initial dress the "ugly" one for me, so I either take that or one of the other options. I was left in tears - 3 weeks out from my wedding date!! We went back and forth with emails, as I couldn't believe I was forced to accept a product that was NOT as described in my order! After nearly a week of extreme stress I went to the store and managed to contact the owner directly. After further investigation the owner said he knew nothing about my situation, he said the supplier got it wrong and offered a refund. I am just beyond words at how rudely and unprofessionally the manager treated me when I was the one not getting my order. And to force the wrong product on me! Not to mention this was all 3 weeks out from my wedding!! It was a nightmare come true. I didn't need to share my experience as I did end up getting a refund, but I would like to warn future brides. I sincerely hope it was just me who was unlucky, but from my experience, I would 100% not recommend this place. Zero stars if I could.
What a fantastic bridal store! The staff were lovely and very helpful - even though I initially did not know what I wanted, they helped me discover my perfect dress. They were not pushy, but were honest and upfront about what looked good on me, helpful in suggesting how dresses could be altered and nothing was too difficult, even trying on the same dress a few times. The dresses were well priced and the range was massive. I would definitely recommend Bridal on Pulteney to my friends.
I had such high hopes, but was pretty disappointed in the service. I rang to come in earlier than my appointment time, and was told that would be fine. When we arrived, we got a hello at the door, but then were ignored. We went up to the counter and stood there for a while before we were acknowledged by the lady there. There seemed to be a mix up between myself and someone else called Nicole with the same original appointment time but the consultant who I told my full name to said my last name wrong, so not sure if thats where the confusion was but we got told to take a seat and then there was lots of whispering about the mix up that made us feel very uncomfortable. It made me feel very undervalued and like I wasn't important. Lots of dresses which were beautiful, but none in the simple A-Line style I was after. While my consultant was nice, I don't think she really got the style I was after. I spent a lot of time trying on a dress, getting back into my normal clothes, coming out and waiting for more dresses and repeating - at one point another consultant took the dress I was going to try on so I had to get changed back into my street clothes and walk around for awhile before I could try it on. Honestly, myself, my friend and my mum all walked out feeling disappointed, and uncomfortable. No need for a follow up - I have purchased my dress elsewhere.
I had the best experience when choosing my wedding dress at BOP. Jenny welcomed me with open arms and was there to help me every step of the way. She's such a beautiful person, I will always cherish and remember the moment we shared when I found my dream dress. I feel very lucky and I appreciate everything Jenny has done for me and making me feel so beautiful my wedding day.
I found my dream dress at Bridal On Pulteney and picked it up yesterday. I mostly dealt with Natasha who was amazing! Natasha patiently let me try on a whole bunch of dresses, and even though she knew I didn't want to spend a lot of money, I was never made to feel like I was wasting her time. There were no pushy sales tactics either, which I sincerely appreciated. A wonderful experience! I can't thank you enough!
Best experience!! Went in thinking I knew what I was looking for and the lovely staff encouraged me to try different options and I ended up loving something I didn't think I would. Staff are extremely lovely and are honest about the dresses they sell. Exquisite dresses at affordable prices. My mother and friends all agree that the service and all round experience was fantastic! Cannot thank the staff enough for their help
