We have had an amazing time at the Breakwater Marina and would highly recommend this marina for any looking for any amount of time. The staff are super kind, caring and they are ready and willing to help tenants. They are on top of improvements and maintenance, if electrical work or water works needed to be done and email was always sent out to tenants letting them know about the maintenance and if there would be any disturbance and how long to expect the delay for. We were also present during cyclone Kirrily Jan 2024, and we cannot say enough positive things about the staff and marina - they were working hard, on top of everything, had daily communication and updates for tenants. The courtesy car is brilliant and great for cruisers without transport, it's $10 for 2 hours. Laundry available in the amenities building with washers and driers paid. The bathrooms and showers are immaculate, cleaned every day, beautiful space and lots of toilets and lots of showers- never had to wait for either.nLong term tenants were great and have formed a community, everyone is super friendly and people catch up on the community grass area.nnWe stayed here for 6 months and we have a 2 year old kid, the library is within walking distance as well as the museum of Tropical Queensland free, there is a public water park next door and Tombruk Memorial Pools next door to the marina. Coles and Woolworths are walking distance. Sunday Markets on Flinders Street from 9-12 are good and has live music.nnCommunity Grass area with wifi, we found to be really great with our young daughter and fun place to go to get off the boat and have a playmate with other kids.nnThe grass area also has a community garden which has lots of herbs - great for cooking!nnBin area has a place for used pils, batteries, giveaway area, cardboard, recycling. Really good bin area and not dirty, its really well taken care of and managed.nnMail - you can get mail sent to the marina and they will hold it for you even if you are not currently at the marina but away or arriving soon. We got packages sent here a couple weeks before arriving and they were waiting for us when we arrived.nnWe loved staying here and had a great time. Thank you to all the marina staff!
Great marina & facilities. Very helpful & friendly staff. We are very grateful & lucky Mary-Anne & team were able to move some boats around to accommodate us at short notice when we were experiencing motor issues. Can’t thank them enough!
Great marina to stay at. We provisioned here for our trip to Indonesia. Fantastic staff, friendly and helpful. Easy refueling dock and well priced fuel. Great courtesy car. Clean and organised rubbish, recycling and oil disposal area. Pity we had to work for most of our stay as Townsville has a lot to offer.
Was a great 2 months in Marina after purchasing boat. Everyone is Amazing. Lovely People and Lovely Marina.
Thanks Breakwater Marina for such a great stay. Right from the initial contact to leaving all the staff were so helpful and friendly. The marina facilities are so well organised and immaculately kept. We had and awesome stay here.
