Great food and beverage, water bottles on table, excellent service, but air-conditioner did not cope well with Sunday crowds. Hot and stuffy, couldn't wait to leave, but nowhere else to sit and wait for our tour bus.
Working in Angaston over Easter, I needed somewhere close by to stay. So glad I picked the Brauhaus. Rooms and shared bathrooms were newly renovated and couldn't be more impressed. I was a little worried being a single woman, but the upstairs was quiet, clean, secure and the staff were very helpful. Balcony was lovely to sit on in the evenings and meals were reasonable and tasty. Only criticism was I think they forgot to add a hairdryer to the room.
Had a great country pub meal, great schnitzels and an awesome fillet mignon. Very good house Yalumba Shiraz at great price. Hard to get all this these days.
It is a good dining institution however they could do better with the parking lot with asphalt treatment I have visited this venue 5 times to dine in and one time for my 21st birthday shout for a shandy
Stayed for one night recently at this lovely old hotel. Lots of character, lovely room with shared access to balcony, great to sit with a bottle of wine. Rooms were basic but very clean and comfy with shared bathrooms you had a choice of four which have just been upgraded. Friendly staff, very helpful. Meals were typical pub food but we're quite good. We would stay there again
