***FIRST TIME EXPERIENCE*** Definitely a lovely view while dining. The best seat is outside but tables are good for two only. Has a good variety of fresh seafood and so many other dishes as well as desserts. The size of the prawns and crabs are not big. Staff and service is good. Booked reservation online. They have a system of allocating tye seating and arrangement align with COVID measures. Don’t really know the normal price for all you can eat but see photo for pricing.
Just had a morning high tea. Nice view, nice food. Just a few things: why don’t we get spoons with our cup of tea? How do we stir our sugar? Also, we were not informed that they closed the coffee machine at 11.45 am when the high tea finishes at 12pm so we couldn’t have a coffee :
Had lunch here today, Boxing Day lunch. It was ok, there was a good selection of seafood, roast meats, fish, salad and desserts. I have given them three stars as it was "ok", there was no "wow" that went with the price. The meal is way overpriced for what you get and the quality of it, which does not include drinks. The food quality was in some cases, like the turkey awesome, others like the chicken were terrible. Seafood was ok, prawns were the best. Service was ok, no bad, but not great. Think I will give this one a miss next time. Way better value eating at an a la carte restaurant menu.
Went there for breakfast and had a great experience. Was nearly there for 4 hours, the time flew by, I had a Nintendo with me as well to help time pass while I let food settle before I went back for more. Great selection and variety of food available, was very impressed with the presentation and quality. $35 for full buffet, $30 if you don't want hot food but I recommend paying the extra. I also recommend going there withing the first 2 hours, I tried cereal and juice again after 9am and the milk and juice were room temperature by that stage. I really like how just about everything is gluten free or vegetarian, a very tasty and healthy breakfast. There is an omelette station where someone will make omelette's or eggs how you want them whether it's poached or another way with quite a few different food option to go into the omelette. I mentioned to the lady making them that I wish I could do that at home, they never turn of right for me. I really loved the eggs benedict, the soft boiled egg was perfect and runny yolk tasted fantastic. Toast station has wholemeal, white, fruit/raisen and muffin you can put into a machine to toast. They also had a lot of kellogg's cereal and good old weet bix plus lots of oats, nuts and fruits. Plenty of Dilmah tea options, quite a few juice options as well. I liked a lot of their fruit and also tried quite a few different cheeses they had, the salmon was nice, I have it every night at home for dinner. The staff were very friendly, I got to interact with quite a number of them. Very quite and enjoyable atmosphere as well, might have been 10-15 people max at a time, you can sit inside or enjoy the river view outside and grab extra coffee type drinks at a barista for a price. I highly recommend having breakfast here, so good and so healthy :
We had a Chocolate buffet for $59 ea for 1.5h and from all yhe experience here I wod give them 3.5 stars. I think I paid for the nice view.
I like this restaurant. Very romantic when you dinner with your couple. You can view the exotic brisbane bridge. But, nothing special for all menu. This is just my opinion. Over all, this is a good restaurant for your romantic dinner or for your family event.
We’ve been here a several times and it’s always a lovely experience but I gotta say that tonight the service was quite exceptional. Very warm welcoming and so attentive and accommodating. The seafood was just sensational, fresh and delicious. I felt like they had quite a few more options for the warm stations. The pasta station was just delightful, especially the mushroom gnocchi sprinkled with crispy fried enoki mushroom!! They had this special little room just for the desserts and I’m not normally a dessert person but all these different little gorgeous sweet things looked so amazing and so irresistible I couldn’t help but indulge in these multiple pieces of deliciousness. Thank you for a wonderful night and thank you Jonas for looking after us!! Would definitely come back and highly recommend this place!!
14 Year Anniversary I'm kicking my self I didn't take pictures for proof. All seafood was definitely a few days old and should've been thrown out, at $89 ahead nothing was fresh got charged nearly $200 I was so disgusted. The prawns were very soft, I bit into a Asian style mussel and it was gooey inside, the Moreton bay bug was flavourless and watery like it was rewashed. I did not even dare to touch the oysters. The soup had a crusty feral looking layer on top 90% of the food was not appealing at all. Shame on you Brasserie on the river.
I had high expectations for this place and unfortunately it didn't quite meet them. I booked a high tea for my mum's birthday and although the service was exceptional the food was below standards. The sandwiches were very dry and stale, the scones were tasteless and the brioche sliders were average to say the least. They had run out of the house Sav Blanc that's on the high tea menu and instead offered my mum an alternative wine but still proceeded to charge us the full price for the alternative even though it wasn't our fault it was unavailable. For the price of $59 my mum and I expected a lot more for our money. The dessert buffet was the highlight and saved the day. In my opinion the savoury options need to be greatly improved, fresh is always best. I couldn't the fault the attention to detail, with the staff bringing a birthday plate of desserts to the table for my mum. That was a very nice touch.
On Saturday 17 July 2021, myself and 3 other ladies attended the afternoon Chocolate High Tea. We had a fabulous time, we sat outside and overlooked the river, our server was outstanding - so polite professional and prompt - he always made sure our water was topped up and that we were having a great time and to see if we needed anything else - I think his name was Jacob or Jonah - at least something along those lines [sorry!] The food spread was sooo good, it was delicious, it was presented beautifully. Will definitely do a chocolate high tea again, and given our experience we are looking forward to our seafood buffet in August.
