A nicely decorated French restaurant located in a nice suburb. The waitress was very attentive and helpful. The cheese soufflé was interesting and delicious, the steaks were cooked well. The famous secret sauce goes really well with the beef steaks. Most food was nice except for the French onion soup. I was a bit shocked when they served the onion soup overflowing on the table and the taste of the soup was really just salty. I’ve had much better French onion soup at other French restaurants.
Great French restaurant. Food was delicious. Very good wine list as well. Staff was friendly and prompt. They were serving food at the right time and for the entire table. We didn’t have to wait. Very cozy and family-style interior. Cannot fault anything. We had an absolutely amazing experience and certainly want to come back and try their restaurant in the CBD.
This fine, French restaurant harbours all the qualities of one in France through its warm ambience and french decor, while the food is rich, superb and flavourful. The staff are cordial and have a brilliant understanding of the the menu I asked for recommendations, and all three courses we had were flawless. I recommend dinning here for a celebration or special event, as my experience here has been one to remember.
We ordered 4 delicious dishes, 2 desserts and 1 drink, and it was $90 per head for two of us, not bad. Their Creme Brûlée is absolutely amazing! I would have ordered another one if I wasn’t so full! Highly recommended!
Felt like like a diner in Paris! Everything was delicious. We started with the crab/lobster bisque thermidor - I recommend getting the sour dough to go with it so you can mop up every drop of the gooey cheesy lobster crab goodness. For mains we tried the much hyped up sirloin with secret sauce which comes with the Waldorf salad and fries - it was delicious and the sauce did not disappoint, but the highlights for us was actually the 'dish of the day' - a huge crumbed veal cutlet with asparagus and currants. We finished with the raspberry souffle which was divine and got a surprise profiterole filled with ice-cream for our anniversary. The service was a little slow but they were short staffed that night with only 3 people on the floor and it's quite a large restaurant. They did well and were very friendly and knowledgeable. The parking out the back is also very convenient and covered as well.
C'est magnifique! We came to Brasserie l’Entrecôte for lunch on a Saturday. Even though we had no booking our server, Dimitri, warmly welcomed us and without hesitation found us a cozy table. We started with a small serving of baguette and butter which was a perfect opener. For mains, we ordered the T-bone steak for two as well as a pichet of red. This steak was exceptional; Perfectly seasoned and cooked. The only option for this cut was medium and for good reason: peak deliciousness. The secret sauce was amazing. I found myself eating it by the spoonfuls after the steak was well and truely finished. The shoestring fries and salad were friendly companions that helped showcase the quality of the main course. We finished off the experience with Profiteroles and a Classic Crème Brlûlèe. While these were wholly unnecessary as we were almost at breaking point, Im so glad we ordered these because they were amazing. The chocolate sauce was worthy of licking the plate clean. The menu is reasonably priced for the quality of the food. Whilst it is not a budget restaurant by any means, it is perfect for a special occasion or if you’re feeling like a fantastic meal. The service was all round excellent, a special thanks to Dimitri for looking after us. I would gladly recommend Brassiere l’Entrecôte to anyone looking for a good steak or fantastic French cuisine. Bravo mes amis!
Nice French bistro in Pymble, delicious steak and really good entrees scallops, onion soup, tartare all nice. The confit duck leg was bit too over cooked but the other dishes were all lovely. First cheese soufflé I’ve tried and it was also delicious. Would definitely return and recommend for a nice dinner out.
We had a great dining experience here for our wedding anniversary. The crab entree was amazing. The snails and steak for the mains are top notch. The in-house green secret sauce is definitely to die for.
We recently had a nice weekend lunch at this popular suburban French brasserie. We ordered escargot with parsley butter accompanied with extra prefou or French-style garlic bread as entree. For main dishes, we ordered their signature sirloin steak frites and dish of the day i.e. boeuf bourguignon. We also got the Trenel Fleurie red wine for drink. All dishes are good and authentic French style food. We especially love the steak frites and escargot. Prices on menu are not cheap but still quite reasonable for the food and setting. The place is quite large and its ambience is very good with authentic French style decoration. Customer service from floor staff may be a bit slow due to staff shortage but it is still reasonably attentive. You can pay with all types of credit cards, but pay additional surcharge of 3% if pay with Amex card. You also pay surcharge of 10% on public holidays.
Very gourmet experience for a reasonable price. Great French food, French music, French staff and French vibes in general. I highly recommend the sirloin! Comes carved already and constantly warmed by candle on the table! Friendly staff and although previous visits precovid the service was slow, they have improved immensely. Desserts are not to be missed and are quite the spectacle. Try an authentic french cider served in a ceramic bowl too!! Highly recommend.
