Definitely one of the better french restaurants in Sydney. Reasonably priced and overall high quality. Mash & scallops dish are must orders! JB the waiter provided outstanding service. Will be back
Beautiful place with excellent vibes, exceptional service and delicious food. Brasserie L'Entrecote pays close attention to their choice of flavour packing a real punch with each bite. True highlight was the cheese souffle with a strong burst of onion taste both sweet and savoury. Only thing I would recommend might be to pull back on the salt and sugar a bit. Although the apple tart was delicious is was also extremely sweet. It was a bit too much to handle for 2 people. Next time we go, I'll sure to remember to order some bread to help dampen the flavour. Would definitely come back again!
It was a Sunday dinner service, busy but we were ready to wait for the main course for around 40 minutes, so properly cooked dishes are guaranteed! My duck breast was nice and acceptable, but not perfect. I can make it too, maybe even better, because I've been working as a chef. For dessert I got profiteroles and here I can definitely say that only 5 of 10, because they are served with ice-cream and it took away all the taste of the profiterole's cream. Cappuccino also was cold, but my friends just returned from Paris and they said that in France all the hot coffee drinks they had tried were cold. Just get ready to deal with it, so for this I'm not minusing any point.nBut what I loved the most were the thin chips on the side for the steak order.nI have no idea if tips are acceptable in France but definitely can conclude that here in Australia service is much worse than in the US. Anywhere I go even in fine dining the staff is more careless.
We love this restaurant. It feels like you've travelled to France as soon as you walk through the front door. The food is exceptional and you can taste the quality of the ingredients. The decor and ambience is en pointe. It was a special occasion so we went all out with our dish selection .
My family of 5, 3 adults and 2 children went for dinner on a Saturday night. We pre-ordered the Tomahawk when we booked. It was huge and very delicious. Perfectly cooked for a medium rare! It's definitely enough for 4 adults. I would like to give a shoutout to JB, he gave great, fast services. Also, JB was very kind and funny towards me and my sister. Other waiters were nice too, but ESPECIALLY JB! For desserts, we had passion fruit ice cream, and creme brulee. The passion fruit ice cream was very fruity and refreshing. Also, the creme brulee had a very rich custard base. With a thin evenly spreaded layer of caramelized sugar crust! Last but not least, the atmosphere was beautiful, quite calming, but not dead quiet. I think this restaurant is the BEST French restaurant I've been to in Australia!
