Shop looks lovely and neat with a good atmosphere.nThe bags and bigger tote bags are reasonably priced and looks good with good quality.nAlso love the pants.nOther items such as the basic shirts seem overpriced but I guess they are selling the brand name.nThey say it’s one size fits all, but I found some tops to be small whilst others were larger, and some pants fit well but others had a wider waist.nSeems like they were different sizes?nThe staff seem on the youngish side, all pretty and have the ‘too cool for you’ attitude. However, when I asked for assistance they were lovely, friendly and helpful and made our shopping experience a lovely one.
So the clothes are really nice and it’s a super cute shop. But the security accused me of stealing when the item was literally on the receipt? Like she pulled out a scarf from my bag after I’d given her the receipt and said I’d stolen it and it was literally written there. Pretty rude.
Popular and busy store stocked with cute clothes. Found the staff to be friendly and overall a positive experience today.
Staff was extremely disrespectful. Imagine spending your money at a shop just to be treated like a thief. Also these clothes are for young girls. What kind of image are they displaying by only hiring skinny tall basic white woman who just gossip and judge you. I saw different workers just looking and giggling on there phones, meanwhile plenty of people needed help including myselffinding something i had seen online. Security was just outright disrespectful and I am genuinely this shop has not shut down considering the way its run. Would not recommend.
Brandy Melville has genuinely always been one of my favourite stores, but I won’t be returning after 2 disappointing experience with security. I was singled out for a bag check both times I was there while others were allowed to leave freely, despite fully cooperating and showing my receipt. The guard pulled me aside, called over a worker, it was clear the worker was frustrated, suggesting this wasn’t the first time she had profiled Asian customers. After reading other reviews, it’s clear this is a recurring issue. She continued to unnecessarily go through my personal belongings, which felt invasive and humiliating wasting my time, leaving me without an apology and making me miss my tram. I love this store, but as a paying customer, unless management addresses this behaviour and if I were to come back for a 3rd time and this happens I will be contacting and reporting the security guard to the Consumer Affairs Victoria and the VEOHRC.
