This hospital really caters to your needs. They ask if youre okay while you're there, they're not rushing you and they actually listen. I'm aware waikato hospital is under a lot of pressure however so are patients. The hospitality is brilliant. You don't feel like an issue and they don't make you feel vulnerable. The nurses make you food afterwards and drink and even better give you recovery time. I wasn't expecting it. So thank you guys. Doctor Jim Brooker and the other nurses and staff were really attentive. I was expecting to be shoved out.
I had day surgery, and I was so amazed by the empathy that the staff had, from the time I walked into reception area and thru my op and recovery time. Absolutely amazing, thank you Braemar staff.
Exceptional care given by all from My wonderful surgeon Stephen McGrath and anaesthetist Henry Wu. The nursing staff who all went above and beyond, all the non medical members of staff everyone made me feel like a VIP. Thank you all
Today I had an amazing team behind me..I waa blown away by the anaergetisr and surgeon with their gentle management of my procedure. As we age we worry more, and their calm quiet management wasnbrilliant. I felt comforted and relaxed.when I awoke I knew the experience had gone smoothly for all concerned.thank younn.
Complete lack of care or follow up. Had surgery late in the day, once back in my room there was little care. Was given 2 Panadol and told take them at 7pm, asked for more pain relief and was told nurse would reassess at 1am. 9.45pm was the last time I saw a staff member until the morning. Literally made my own bed and looked after myself. All hell broke loose in the morning when they realised I had missed any care through out the night. Once I left the hospital I put my experience in writing and asked simple questions as to what care and pain relief I should have received and haven’t had a response. That was over 5 weeks ago. My advice is choose another hospital as this hospital is a disaster waiting to happen.
