Friendly characters and good homely food. After reading other reviews i find them to be quite harsh all things considered. In my opinion its by far the nicest place in Beecroft to dine and usually its the only shop open on the weekends. If you are a local its a must try, just stick to the specials or ask the waiter whats the flavour of the month. They are all very passionate about their food and have always steered me in the right direction. Pasta of the day is what i usually get, mid weekend is the time i visit on my way back from the coast.
Good experience. Pasta was fresh and tasty. Service was quick and performed by friendly and attentive Italian staff. Good selection of Gelato in a revolving bin to choose from. Finished off with a perfect flat white. Does get a bit noisy in the old post office when it fills up.
Food was average for the price. The calamari was rubbery. Waiter can have more smile in their service. The young waiter said shes not allowed to serve us our forgotten drink order and did not bother to inform the head waiter.
Chef was apologetic about deconstructed style of lasagne which was all they could do at the time. However must have forgotten to add sauce. Worst thing was rude service from waiter. Bar waiter had a cold attitude. No smile, no apology for lasagne. Business dinner, first and last time. Price not worth it. Hope it was just a bad day for them.
I went with my wife to BPO, the reviews were wide ranging but generally not kind. Much of it rings true, the setting, decore is nice. The service is try-hard, most tables did not have any food on them that I noticed, then a bit of a rush. The food was okay, lots of heavy tomato-based sauces though. Still we went away reasonably happy, not in a rush to go back. Then I woke at 2am shivering and in desperate need to go to the toilet. My wife also had an upset stomach. Oh well, still some nicer looking options to discover in Beecroft.
What can I say! $3/hd for Sunday $2.60/slice to cut birthday cake. For 10,we'd racked up a decent bill before starting. $28 for house made pasta that was a very small portion. Food was ok but the cost left a bad taste in the mouth. Go here if you've got money to burn!
Service was great. Premesis was clean and spacious. Would definitely recommend the gelato which they make on site. The Wildberry was phenomenal and the Chocolate and Hazelnut gelatos were both awesome. Great variety of Italian food which is fairly priced. Thankyou for a lovely night.
Amazing authentic food best ever pasta marinara thought about going back to order it take away but live on coast . Cheap nights we got bottle wine to share and 2 x pastas sooo cheap and delishious and they even ran out of house red so gave us a expensive bottle to try . highly recommend !
Delicious local Italian food. Pasta night on Tue and Wed has a generous portion size. Try the bruschetta.... and the crème brûlée!
Not a very favourable experience to say the least. Slow and unfriendly service. At least the pizza was ok!
