Steve and Linda were able to organise a Special Purpose Report for me at a short notice to resolve a dispute I had with a builder.  Steve listened to the details on the issue and provided an impartial report after spending several hours inspecting the work of the builders. The report had enough details that I could understand and prompted the builders to fix the non-compliance work.  He was also available for phone chats afterwards when more disputes arose with the builders.  Friendly and knowledgeable. Recommend.

Received fantastic service and a very detailed report. When we met with the inspector, Steve, he took plenty of time to explain the inspection and demonstrated the methods. In the 30 minutes we spent with him, I learned a great deal of what to look for in potential future properties. I would definitely use BPI again in the future. Highly recommended.

After receiving and reading the building inspection report, we were dismayed to read that the inspection report does NOT cover a plumbing or electrical inspection. As we still need to get a plumber and an electrician to inspect the property for plumbing and electrical compliance, we are left wondering what we paid for.  Since moving in these are the things that the building inspection never found: a broken tap and water pipe, a squashed airconditioning duct, unconnected NBN wires in a pipe sticking out of the ground in the front yard and a drain in the backyard that doesn't work, when it rains it floods an area in the backyard up to the house walls. When questioned about the drain we were told that he couldn't test the drains as there was no hose on the property for him to use. Something he should have himself so he CAN test if drains are working!!!  Their defence to my issues is how many photos Steve took. No amount of photos in the building inspection report will address the problems that were never found in the building inspection we paid for!  Now lets mention the scratched windows in multiple rooms and 1 glass door, no blinds or curtains on the windows or door to get in Steve's way but he still didnt notice the massive scratches!!!  Just more that Steve obviously didn't notice, thanks BPI for the waste of money on a substandard building inspection!!!
