would’ve loved to give 5 stars, my educational side of things was great! loved my teacher/s & classmates. however, you’ve really got to fix your parking situation. fining students for parking on the campus is utterly insane. I paid thousands in tuition, paid for a permit and am now expected to pay a couple hundred in fines for using the facilities provided ?!?!? oh, and in a cost of living crisis as a full time student. Fantastic! make it make sense. make the permits more expensive if it’s so necessary to get revenue from parking. The parking is already incredibly limited - you’d need to arrive an hour before your class most days just to secure a spot. I mention this as you’re already getting a good sum of money from permits that aren’t even being used to their full extent due to the lack of space.nnthe review process for the unnecessary fines is also incredibly flawed, why have an email or phone number if neither of them actually help with resolving it. i’m sure that’s part of the scheme; make it hard work to actually get something done.
Parking is predatory to say the least. Majority of teachers are very good with only a couple of questionable hires. Facilities are great, especially the free library+printingnnUpdate: Parked at 10:12am, bought a parking permit at 10:17, by the time I got back to my car to display it I was fined.nThe issue isn’t fining students, it is predatory behaviour and a refusal to implement systems that allow for prepaid parking
Reception staff at the Elgar campus are extremely unhelpful and rude.nnI recently went to reception with the intent to resolve an earlier issue with parking permits not due to fault of my own. When I explained the situation to the lady at reception I was met with very rude and blunt responses, that had me taken aback.nnAs a student who has been at BHI for over a year now, every encounter I have had with reception has been negative, and I recommend that you avoid the trouble of communicating with them if you can.
I will give 0 if google review allows me. AVOID applying for this place. This institute is sneaky. The application process is non-transparent. it has been more than 3 weeks, and no one provides feedback. I've asked for updates for a number of times. the last one was 4 days ago, and I have been told someone should contact me the next day. Now, it is 4 days now. the couse entry requirement is very vague, so they can have flexibility to reject or accept according to their needs. If an education institute is in this kind of behaviour, it is hard to believe they will treat you fairly.
Only real problem is the parking I turned up early and it was already full by 8:15 for 9 o clock startnMost peoples breaks are moving their cars from one car park to another as it’s 2hr in the local area. Transport is the way to go for now though not everyone’s studying locallynReally have to be careful with those yellow bollards looks like you can easily grind youre side door against it it’s very narrownTeachers are great very enthusiastic about what there teaching lots of experience too clear cut directionsnLooks to be good support too for people who need itnEverything’s been spoken about and provided in the Orientation mid yearnFacilities look good especially classrooms and simulation rooms for practical studyingnnIt’s sad I don’t see the flag anywhere on the websites on campus and surrounds what country are we studying on
