Awesome facilities conference room, kitchen, audiovisual equipment. Need to contact management for availability and conditions
A jewel in the middle of city for your community meeting. Weekends are better to get many off street parkings
This is a brilliant place with the friendliest staff I have ever met. Not just a Community Centre but a real family atmosphere. Check out their English Course for immigrants and overseas holiday makers. Excelent instructor who really knows how to help each and every individual.
I’ve observed that some reviewers are probably not distinguishing between ‘Box Factory’ - a building owned & operated by Adelaide City Council - and the University of the Third Age, which is quite separate, but which occupies the whole building from 9 to 4 on weekdays. So some comments e.g. ‘friendly staff’ etc almost certainly refer to U3A volunteers, rather than to the actual establishment or it’s management. Having said that, such comments are accurate. Parking is not always easy, but the building is clean and pleasant & there’s free access to clean toilets, drinking water etc - or you can sit in the foyer and rest.
Box Factory has a range of spaces ideal for meetings of various sizes. Facilities are excellent & the place has a good 'feel'. Location between Carrington & Halifax, off end of Frome, is low pressure & readily accessible.
Comfortable up stairs rooms for our meeting & cuppa after . Air con was excessively loud on this humid day & many older citizens quiet voices, difficult to hear & had to turn it off at times until heat was overpowering again .
One real problem with meeting upstairs is that loud noises from a room at the opposite end of the corridor seriously interfere with spoken communication. Inspection of the acoustic sealing of the doors shows that there are significant gaps because the doors has not been fitted accorately. I believe that it could be alleviated if the sealing could be fixred.
Great venue nice staff good rooms
Had training at this location for 2 days. Venue was good, quiet and basically had the whole place to ourselves. We used the two rooms upstairs. Easy location to get to.
Great little centre tucked in the burbs near Hutt at cafes and eateries. Interesting courses and events offered or use the time to host your own one off or regular gig.
