16 Lane fully automatic tenpin bowling center and Indoor Black Light Mini Golf Complex.

Story

Bowlarama has been competely refurbished and reopened in April 2013 after being closed for nearly four months.

It is now a modern 16 Lane Bowling Centre with an 18hole MiniPutt course attached.

The centre boasts the most modern AMF bowling equipment available, it uses 82-90XLi Pinspotters, synthetic overlays and the rest of the mod cons. The bowling centre is now air conditioned and remains a moderate temperature for bowling comfort.

Still available are pool tables, air hockey tables and arcade games.

Bowlarama continues to be a licensed premises for the enjoyment of its patrons, also available is a large selection of non-alcoholic beverages.

Glow bowling is back in action on Friday and Saturday evenings from 7pm onwards in winter and 8pm during the summer months.

Though the real glow happens in our 18hole Black Light MiniPutt course. Imported from Canada, this is a fantastic course which can be enjoyed by all ages. Though those with Epilepsy, impaired vision or those worried by the dark are urged not to enter.

Went to Bowlarama yesterday with my toddler and ASD child. Had an absolute blast as always. Toddler was even having a turn, but my toddler started to become mischievous and attempt to run down the lane. I stopped him before hand as they are slippery both workers, were awesome and helped me out with a high chair so my little one could chill and nibble on some chips, instead of causing havoc around the place. Kept asking if he was algood and if we needed anything else. They were lovely, sorted us quick when the lane had a moment and stopped working too. Will be back again soon! Thanks Tiff & you worker, didn’t get his name sorry!
Was only here for the mini golf, so I can't review the place as a whole. But the mini golf was fun and had some challenging rounds. The black light feature made it more interesting. 18 holes in total, really worth what you're paying for.
Wow, amazing Mini golf! Recently my partner and I have really got into Mini golf and when we go away we always look for Mini golf. I loved the black light and glow in the dark never been to one anything like it. Loved the theme too! Very well looked after, very impressive. The course was fun. Some harder holes and some holes that were not as hard. The staff were friendly too. Will definitely be back again next time we are up!

If you want to go bowling here with your young family I do not recommend taking them here. We took our young family of four here today visiting out of town. The service towards us was unacceptable. They’re aren’t very understanding of younger children at all. Do better New Plymouth Bowlarama!
