Nice place with large selection of burgers and fish and chips. The burger was decent, the fish and chips only so so. Limited space inside the restaurant, but great for taking food out and eat close to the beach. Thumbs up for asking customers to take care of the environment and dispose their one way packaging properly.
The fish tasted fresh and the chips were nice. The price compared to the portion was high. It's in a nice location with outside tables and you can also takeaway to have it at the beach. Not the best idea to have a communal salt and vinegar station.
Great fish and chip shop. Everything is made fresh. There's minimal outdoor seating, which we were lucky enough to get a spot. Have been many times though, and just taken food back to eat on the beach.Food: 5/5
Good quality fish used for their fish. Was a little uncomfortable using the communal chicken salt and salt at the seasoning station they had given the current times. Might be worth providing hand sanitizer next to it? They do very well during busy times, with a good system going to provide food as soon they can
Service is prompt, friendly and efficient. Portions are generous and fish is always fresh. Can get busy, but worth the weight. Grab your meal and sit at the beach watching the World go by. Just be careful of the seagulls- they love the food as well!Food: 5/5
Friendly staff and quick service. Got grilled chicken burger and chips. Taste was a little above average for burger, and chips little below. $19.00 for above plus dip, little pricey but they have a good monopoly in the area. They give you the pick up buzzer in a bag, amusingly due to covid. Dine in tables out front. I opted for take away to beach front.
Nice place and location, we belived we were going to get a quality lunch at the prices they are charging but it was all very disappointing, a very small oily piece of Cheap shark Fish over battered to make it look bigger which we had to just pull apart and throw away with overcooked chips in old oil. The burgers were terrible with a dry and small piece of meat and the other burger had again a very small piece of cheap fish that look like mush. For a local place the quality and standards are terrible and the only people that will stop is newcomers to the area so guys start getting fresh and quality goods to reflect your pricing and change your oil regularly it is a health requirement
I ordered a small chips and small OJ. The OJ is made fresh - I was standing in front of the machine with the oranges already loaded and was told "we don't have time to make you an orange juice". I thought that was the whole point of a food business - the customer pays the shop to make them food...! And then I was charged $9 for the small chips. I didn't realise until after I tapped my card. I was then told the ketchup was $2 maybe there is a Mosman tax? but the menu clearly said the chips were $6 not $7. Such bad service. The chips were nice and arrived quickly hence the 2 stars.
The place and location is great however the food quality was terrible. We ordered 2 X battered fish and chips and 1 X kids fish and chips. They gave us 1 X battered fish and chips and 2 kids fish and chips. The chips in all meals had been well over cooked to the point they were hard and super crispy. It was like they had been overcooked twice. The battered fish was overcooked too and had so much batter around it and only a small amount of fish. They were very busy but considering the prices they charge plus and extra 10% on public holidays I would have thought it would have been better than what we got. Definitely not worth the price.
I don’t know what happened to this place but after being there today I just had to say how absolutely devastating it is to see the quality of the food drop to the bottom of the bin. I ordered the famous fish and chips and when I received it I knew I wasn’t going to enjoy it. The chips where so saturated in oil that they where hard and dried up, the fish was like eating cardboard and the whole presentation was certainly NOT appealing. Very very disappointed …. Bring back the old owners
