The staff are exceptionally talented and friendly, I asked Michela a question on a particular wine I was looking for and her knowledge on practically every wine we spoke about second to none, extremely talented to say the least, all the other staff are just as knowledgeable and friendly. The moment you walk into the shop, you feel at home and welcome, there is always lovely music playing in the background and the wine selection is amazing and really well priced – I would highly recommend shopping here before you go to any of the mainstream shops.
The owner seems to have dealt with the poor service being provided in store because Alison was very helpful. She wasn't super knowledgeable but had enough to offer some good suggestions, but then again they don't appear to be any more upmarket than a regular bottle shop. Wines are their focus, reasonable beer range. Competitive prices when compared to other independents nearby.

Most friendly people in the business. An amazing selection of wine, beer and other spirits. They always recommend the best wine, for a decent price, that goes along with your food. Even the beer, and I am Belgian, is top notch. This is the place you want to go if you need wine and spirits!
Great selection, more focus on wines than beers. Good prices and the staff was very friendly and polite. When I asked about the wine, her descriptions were clear enough for me to get what it tastes like. I am enjoying wine that she recommended me and Im very satisfied.

The best quality of wines, and cool beers you can find around South Yarra. The store is full of unique products, good prices, local brands and an amazing staff... Highly recommended to visit if you are around the area :
I have attended these stores many times, energy levels are high and the spirit of the staff is engaging. I've often had 5-10 minute conversations with different staff members. Overall the selection is quite extensive, and the specials are normally better than the big franchises. Keep up the good work guys and gals!
I go out of my way to buy from Bottle House. The selection of wines and beers is amazing, staff are always happy and engaging, and they provide excellent recommendations.
As others have mentioned, staff are very mediocre here. A number of times when I've walked in, staff are too busy with their eyes glued to their cell phones. No eye contact when they speak to you, monotone expression. More luck getting assistance from one of the fellow customers already in there. I'll stick to my local quiet bottle O or BWS thanks. They're x10 times more cheerful and talkative than this place and they're often quite busy.
