Botanical Inn has changed a lot since the new owners took over. There's only a skeleton staff and it's difficult to get service at reception and in the restaurant at dinner time. My shower had a fair amount of black mould. The menu is significantly reduced and the food isn't the same. My breakfast tasted like dinner because they used the same uncleaned hot plate to cook it. We usually stay there about 3-5 times a year for work but we are going to stay in Portland from now on.
Love it, Absolutely. Very good service. Best Indian food I've had in a long time. The avocado toast is just so good. Fish and chips are to Die for!! Sweet staff. Lovely place. Definitely recommend.
Reasonable accommodation for price, be aware if you drink a lot of tea/coffee you need to bring spoons.......you get 3 but they are wooden throw away ones. Good location. Reception area was very unwelcoming, staff nowhere to be seen. Had to pick up a telephone to be connected to someone that could check me in. When he arrived it was like it was an imposition to have to come and hand me a key.
Used to be great, new owners need to do way better. Partners Parma had the weirdest taste and the starter meal was a lackluster two pieces of small sourdough with cheese cost $10. Place was cold, uninviting and definately wasn't a place I'd recommend
Good location, clean rooms and friendly staff but that’s about it. Rooms are small and need of an update. Toilet didn’t flush properly, uncomfortable bed with scratchy sheets, no wardrobe to store my luggage. It was a little windy and something on my roof banged all night. The restaurant was nothing to write home. Next time i visit Hamilton, I will be staying elsewhere.
