Beautiful gardens. I especially loved the rose garden and sunflower garden. Beautiful dams with turtles and ducks. Many great places to picnic or relax. Cafes where you can grab coffee or a glass of wine. I've heard the restaurant here is great too. A beautiful park close to city. Good for the soul.
Up there with Sydney Botanic Garden & Brisbane's Mt Coot Tha these gardens have a wonderful mix of mostly Mediterranean, temperate & arid climate plants. There are plenty of themed areas & enough to keep kids interested for a few hours. There are many very established tree specimens from around the globe. The museum of agricultural plants is very interesting. Right now the corpse plant is flowering.
Adelaide's Botanical Gardens and Botanic Park are something worthy to brag about. We celebrated Christmas gatherings here many years ago, and returned for the first time in too long for 2021. The grounds are well kept, with plenty of space for all, including finding a patch to kick a football around. A highly recommended place to visit to just relax and enjoy your surroundings. Easy access with parking free on Sundays.
Every thing was closed in the morning when it would be walk able and not to hot. Well maintained and lots to see. Water bottle station ? What do you do if don't have bottles.. There is shop but quite a walk.
Wonderful place! I loved visiting this place and also free parking on Sunday is a big plus! Just wished there are more maps around the park, most of the time I have no idea where I am.
The gardens are a large peaceful area where you can escape the turmoil of the city, let kids run about, have a picnic and learn about the importance of plants. The Lilly & glass house and the hot house are added features. The Cafe by the pond is a good area to sit and enjoy the Tranquility.
The most beautiful scenic gardens of Adelaide, with avenues of wisteria groves, rose gardens, rotunda's, lotus and water lily pond and giant canopies of ancient Moreton Bay Fig trees.
A great place to relax. You really wouldn't know you're in the city and surrounded by traffic.
Well maintained and beautiful garden. Cafe and toilet facilities available. There is a museum in the premises.
Beautiful Garden in the city easy access has cafe under stunning trees, lake with turtles and ducks,
