$18.50 garden breeze cocktail. One would assume it would be fresh juice not straight out of a tin. Pineapple, orange and canned passion fruit Absolutely dreadful. Passion fruit cheesecake just as bad. Coffee no better. Very sad experience in a beautiful setting.
Terrible Experience – Avoid This Place at All CostsnnIf you’re planning a visit to Cairns Botanic Gardens, do yourself a favor and skip the restaurant inside. My wife and I were on our honeymoon, looking forward to a pleasant day in the gardens, but our experience at this restaurant was an absolute nightmare.nnWe ordered coffee, and both of our drinks had a strange, burnt taste. I politely mentioned this to the staff, expecting a simple fix or at least a courteous response. Instead, we were met with extreme rudeness from the manager, Kimi, who not only dismissed our concerns but went as far as to curse at us. Yes, you read that right—she cursed at paying customers who were simply pointing out an issue with their drinks.nnThis kind of behavior is completely unacceptable, especially in a place that should be a highlight of your visit to Cairns. The gardens are beautiful, but this restaurant is a stain on its reputation. It’s shocking that someone as unprofessional and outright rude as Kimi is allowed to interact with customers.nnDo yourself a favor and avoid this restaurant. There are plenty of other places in Cairns where you’ll be treated with respect and can actually enjoy your meal. This place will only leave you with a sour taste—both literally and figuratively.
Avoid this place. Deserves no stars. I have never been spoken to so rudely in my life. After ordering 2 coffees and waiting 35 mins I went to the counter to ask if they would be much longer as we had a busy to catch. The Barista was a very rude man. Told me he had all these orders to get through and slammed the paperweight down so hard it's a wonder it didn't break. Then an extremely rude older lady came over and told me to just sit down and she would get to it. We left. Not the best start to a holiday. Luckily it was the only horrendous experience we had on our holiday. Ann W.A.
Food was nice, I ordered iced drink but got it hot. The drink was nice tho so np :nnSurrounded by gorgeous nature, bit pricey but i paid approximately the same price Sunday in Darwin before.nnThe order girl was nice, but person at the front counter was not exactly too welcoming. However, still an alright option to eat and drink in the botanic garden area:
My experience at the restaurant within Cairns Botanic Gardens was nothing short of appalling. I’m from Brazil, and after mentioning that the food was taking too long to arrive, I was met with shockingly racist comments from the owner, Kimmy. Her behavior was not only unprofessional but deeply offensive and completely out of line.nnIt’s hard to believe that in a place as beautiful and welcoming as Cairns Botanic Gardens, there could be a restaurant run by someone who would treat customers in such a disgraceful manner. What should have been a relaxing meal turned into an upsetting ordeal.nnIf you care about being treated with respect and dignity, do yourself a favor and steer clear of this place. The gardens deserve better, and so do the people who visit them.nnNo one should have to endure such behavior – this restaurant is a disgrace.
