Service sucks. Staff are unfriendly and burn your pies. Just pathetic service! Staff member on duty 12th April at 2:30. She is awful, her service is the worst. Her service was so shocking that I stood in the shop and wrote this review. There are a few other staff from my floor who have had bad experiences. Thanks to her I will not be coming back.
Food tastes good vegetarian baquette but it's more a New Zealand version of French bread. Missing the crispy crust of a real baquette. Too soft.
Had heard good things but was disappointed - not sure these eggs still qualify as "poached", so much as [very] hard boiled?
Coolest little shop, true French delicacies with both sweets and savory options, also offers par baked, fresh bread, and coffees, too.
Best iced coffee I've ever had. My boyfriend said it was heavenly. Buy 2 The experience continues after you've finished it. It is so creamy and delicious, thank youuu
Cakes are yummy
I've visited the shop multiple times over a long period. Staff has always been super friendly, coffee is always good, and they sell yummy big custart-doughnutty things. Haven't tried anything else, but for a custart doughnut with coffee, this is the place.
Great food. Clean and tidy. Cheerful friendly staff!
Ineffective systems, incompetent staff or a combination of the two its hard to say for certain. Today was my first visit to this establishment and at first blush I was a little excited as the cakes, slices and pastries were just beautiful to look at. Feeling only slightly hungry I ordered a small citron tart and a regular hot chocolate. In a separate transaction my partner ordered herself a filled croissant toasted and a slice. As the tart and slice were already to go these were given to us straight away and were advosed they would bring us the rest of our orders. However after about 5 - 10 minutes nothing had arrived i looked up towards the counter and the barista was milling about the coffee machine so i figured it wouldnt be much longer. Another 5 minutes pass and in this time a customer comes in orders a coffee, has it made and given to her. After which the cashier slouched across the counter telling the barista that she could use a cigarette break. At this point we realise that they are not making the hot choc or croissant and when asked they advised they forgot blaming it on the telephone ringing when we ordered, we still paid for it though so I am confused with the weak excuse. With the croissant the only thing we can assume is that it was sold to someone else as there was only one when my partner ordered it. Either that or it was just sitting on a bench in the open as it was no longer in the display case. We both had to get back to work so we asked for a refund, which they gave begrudgingly with a hushed mild apology. Chances of me returning - 0% The tart was nice but with La Cloche across the road with comparable if not superior food and from experience far more polite and professional staff id rather go there.
Food great- best steak and kidney pie ever but beware the expense. Overflowing coffee cup disappointing. Need to smile more too.
