Great service. Great food. Great coffee. Great spot. Literally the only thing I could fault would be one egg was a touch over poached. As mentioned it's not fancy decor but it has indoor, deck and lawn seating and to be honest I don't know why these people are concerned about serviceable decor when they're eating at the water. The water is the decor. It's also in a great position a few mins off highway, and also along a lovely walking path. Parking: Parking lot, generous size Wheelchair accessibility: Ramp to cafe
Breakfast off toasted croissant and EB Tea. Friendly and prompt service, great location but tired cafe, dying for a makeover in such a lovely spot as there is so much potential Well done to the cafe for serving the jam and butter in a pot rather than using pre packaged items that so many cafes use and are so bad for the environment Nice croissant but small and must have come from Woolies as not bakery style Sadly butter I ordered came out as margarine…. And the toasted croissant must have been under the grill for a millisecond as not toasted at all. How hard can it be to get these simple things right???? As mentioned by many reviewers, the prices are far too much for the quality of the food and the quality of the cafe.
Such a refreshing breakfast with warm and passionate service. The view and food are wonderful. And the handmade table card is so cute!Food: 5/5
Always love this place! a nice little gem in the beautiful town of Nambucca. great seating especially outside facing the river and good food and service. Separate ramp at entrance for wheelchair and prams too. Ample space outside the restaurant and located just next to the Nambucca board walk in case one just wants to grab coffee and head outside on a beautiful day! Boat and fishing gear on hire next door too. Good care taken this time for contact tracing and also sanitisers available at reception.
The food was pretty average, definitely overpriced. Portions were okay. The location in quite nice but seating it limited. The menu is also limited and basic. The atmosphere is relaxed but seems disorganised. The staff are nice but a little slow. Toilets and takeaway are avalible. Nice coffee. Quick service. Overall wouldn't recommend other than for a quick lunch.
It looks old and rundown ,the staff were the most miserable looking crew and that no doubt contributed to the terrible atmosphere. It was busy but not crazy yet our food still took over half an hour to arrive and when it did our experience was further ruined by the guy setting up the boats smoking right next to our table . Not good enough for me
Stopped in on a road trip, Easter Saturday. People waiting for cafe to open and locals helping set up tables and chairs. Super friendly staff, fast service and stunning location. Food was good and coffee was better! Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Dishes were ok, not great. Not horrible. Seemed busy with mainly locals when we were there. Decent portions and well priced. Would like to revisit in a better weather. Wind and rain was a little intense when we’re dined. The mushrooms were the highlight.
Not a bad spot for a scone and coffee, just near the river. Scone with jam&cream was good, coffee average. Not a lot of thought gone into the atmosphere, just a few tables plonked into the grassFood: 4/5
Coffee was a 10/10 and we are coffee snobs from Newcastle Food was amazing banana and walnut bread with vanilla butter was delicious packed with walnuts and the poached eggs with house made beans was rich and hearty. Can't beat a warm hello from the man with the mullet as we entered. Little gem of a place.
