Much recommended for your pit stop. Coffee was great and the gentleman making the coffee was friendly, knowledgeable and you can tell he was passionate about what he was serving. Don't expect too much from the food - it's an acceptable bite, nothing too fancy. In fairness, coffee is the specialty - food is just an offering. 5 stars if they were only serving coffee!
Great service despite it being a very busy Anzac Morning... had the mushrooms on toast... nice spot to sit out the front with the dog
This cafe looks fantastic, very homely, nice seating and lovely decor. The two stars are for the barista who was very nice, was working exceptionally hard and double checked our order. I deducted the three stars for the interaction of the other staff. The waiter/owner who met us was rude and abrasive. It felt like we were intruding when the only question asked was whether they had a table for three people. The other waiter kept asking patrons to open the door for him which I found odd. The interaction between the staff wasn’t great either. Maybe someone was sick or they were understaffed Overall coffee was lovely, service was bad and time we waited was 20-25 minutes. Probably won’t come back here because of this interaction. Other options and even faster home made coffee
Popped in here for a quick lunch whilst on a business trip. Was greeted by friendly staff, very promptly served. The coffee was hot and strong as it should be, it was as good as any in Melbourne. I had the slow roasted lamb salad which was delicious. Definitely recommend this place.
We came in from NSW a few days before Victorias 7 day snap lockdown to stay with Family. We thought we would support the town by getting some takeaway. I asked the waitress could I order some takeaway coffees and she replied tersely "Well that's all you CAN have". I was a bit taken back and asked what the cakes were. She gave me a quick and abrupt run through. They obviously don't want the tourist dollar here so I will give them a miss over the next 2 weeks that we are here. We also had a coffee here a few months back no lockdown and the male attendant or owner was very controlling telling us not to come inside he would take our order when we got up from outside to look at the desserts. Plenty of choice in Beechworth if you decide not to go here even during this lockdown.
The service we received at Blynnz Coffee Roasters in Beechworth today was disgusting to say the least. The coffee was alright, but the attitude from the owner and head waitress put a sour taint on our experience. Not only were we spoken to with attitude from the head waitress, but other customers were too. What was most surprising was the arrogant manner of the owner. When other customers left commenting on the appalling service, the owner said vocally, “And I don’t care!” While we, and other customers were treated in a disgusting way, what I found most appalling was the way the owner spoke to his junior staff, who were both visibly anxious at work, while learning and trying to do their job. Berating junior staff in any setting cannot be tolerated and we’ll be reporting this to WorkSafe Victoria. There are many other cafes to support in Beechworth and we’ll be purchasing a coffee from these other businesses on future visits.
Absolute disgraceful. Customer service was zero. The arrogance from the manager/owner was appalling. The staff clearly didn’t want people there! 100% would not recommend. Went for a coffee and that was it and could not of had a worst experience. Beechworth is a lovely town, do yourself a favour and find somewhere else!
Great coffee! House made granola was amazing - I would love the recipe. Hot smoked salmon bagel, a lovely surprise. Highly recommend this cafe.
Cosy and intimate setting, exceptional meals fresh and modern cuisine and fantastic bar selection LOVED the Spiced Palomas!!. The chef is incredibly talented and the wait staff friendly, charming and knowledgeable! We will be back. Such a pleasure to have dined here tonight
Coffee was excellent but had to drop a star on this rating as the breakfast chef didn't pay attention to our order and I ended up with no Gluten Free toast, however they did fix it and the quality of the food was great when they sent it out again. Good atmosphere and seemed to be a fave with the locals too.
