The ambience at bloom is unbeatable. It is truly a lovely place to be and to just relax and enjoy. It has indoor and alfresco dining, plus the view is lovely. I am not sold on the food I have to admit. I found it expensive and nothing to write home about. However, I love the ambience and the service. The place is spacious but cozy, noisy but with a touch of romance. It is worth a try.
Honestly, I was surprised at the level of detail in each dish, and the execution of flavours were all right there too.nnOnly a minor critique on the pumpkin and goat’s curd dish, I’m not sure if it was the intention but it was served a little cold on cold temp of the pumpkin + curds. It would have been nice for a ripping hot pumpkin, maybe with a glaze, fired to serve, with the beautiful cold curds to pair.nnInterior is still stunning, one of the nicest open kitchens in the city and attentive kind staff
The venue is beautiful and the service was great. The food was good but not great. Not a lot of choice and a bit pricy for what it was. The portions were quite big but definitely heavily ladled with garnish and salt.
Mediterranean style restaurant with the limited food menu. They have indoor and outdoor dining options. Pistachio ice cream served with olive oil and sea salt was so impressive. I can’t imagine how they are such a good combination!nnPs I didn’t have chance to take a pic of ice cream but it’s really good so :-
Visiting for brunch, I was impressed with the aesthetically pleasing Bloom.nnWe ordered the BBQ southern rock lobster with a cheese & chive waffle and the Avocado toast with an added poached egg along with coffees.nnOn the pricier side for breakfast at $42, I couldn’t resist the lobster. I loved the twist on a classic eggs benny. The lobster paired beautifully with the cheese and chive waffle and the egg and hollandaise added a lovely creaminess to the dish. The avocado was just as enjoyable. We opted to add a poached egg but it’s perfectly fine as is.nnAlthough I was there on a weekday I noted it was quite busy so it may be best to book ahead. Overall I loved the beautiful setting, atmosphere and food. I highly recommend checking it out if in the area.
