Family owned and operated Cafe, situated in the Fusion Complex. It is a little surprise gem with great coffee and great customer service

Story

This is a small Cafe, focusing on customers, kids and dogs. We are big believers in value for money with great coffee and the food is simply cooked and served. We are not a franchise and we love being part of the community. Drop in and see us, you will be pleasantly surprised.

What a great find. One of the best coffees l have ever had. Chicken foccacia was sensational, so tasty. Nice atmosphere and l loved the art on the walls.
We sat outside as the weather was lovely in the cute garden out the back. Such a friendly bunch who work here! We had the pie of the day beef & red wine a BLT and bowl of chips to share for lunch. All were very good - especially the pie! The staff were busy bees attending to the steady flow of patrons, but not too much that they couldn’t have a little chat. We will definitely keep The Dove Cafe in mind when we’re next in Castlemaine.
Bought a large late this morning. Possibly the worst coffee I’ve ever had from a cafe. Tasted like watery hot milk with a strange taste. I had to tip it out. Service at the window has always been slow.
The coffee is always tasty, friendly staff and I just love the tranquil atmosphere siting out in the courtyard. It’s also my greyhounds favourite hang out, she falls asleep within minutes
Went there today with my mum and sister. Ate outside which is probably not for those who own poodles, but we enjoyed it. The meals took a little while to arrive but they were well worth it. I had the beef burger and chips and it was fantastic! I had to deconstruct it because it was so huge. Everything about the meal was delicious. Both Mum and my sister felt the same. Staff were great. Will certainly be going back!!!
I get coffee at the Dove Cafe regularly always friendly and good coffee also the bacon and eggs muffins fabulous also the fruit muffins yum keep up the good work
Excellent long black & very friendly customer service. Comfortable inside/outside seating in relatively quiet location. Plant boxes outside create pleasant atmosphere. Easy parking & relaxed vibe. Definitely worth a visit.
Great little Cafe from the main strip. Worth while visiting for treats and the coffee is perfect.
Unfortunately we had booked a special room for a birthday celebration and when we arrived they had given it to a group that was outside and had been raining. We were placed at a table that was so noisy, after several of us complained we were moved to another room but another couple were asked if they minded moving. We had booked that room 2 weeks ago. Thankfully the meal was very nice and a lady I know that works there apologised Just embarrassing for my friends birthday as she hadn't been there before and maybe won't go again
This cafe would be good if the management was better... More than once I've been here and felt really uncomfortable about how this one male staff member treats the other staff. The atmosphere here is kind of tense, the coffee is definitely the saving grace but I probably wouldn't go back just based on how the staff are treated - maybe I have only caught him on bad days, ya never know.
