Story

Blazing Saddles is the longest established horse riding and quad bike tour company in Far North Queensland. Locally owned and operated, it is now located only 10mins from both Cairns and Northern Beaches to suit even the most time conscious visitor or perfect for a soft adventure activity for the whole family!

Blazing Saddles is now a working sugar cane farm and the property also boasts an 18 acre billabong which is abundant with native birds and amphibious creatures of all shapes and sizes! You will also meet our resident geese, peacocks and ducks, perhaps even spot a crocodile! We cater for large groups as well as the corporate and incentive market making these activities great for team building ideas.

Our Horse-riding tour offers a safe, relaxing way to meander through rainforest pockets, mangrove wetland, sugarcane fields and native bush! With a stable of horses to suit all ages and levels, this is a perfect family adventure.

Our horses have a friendly, mature nature and will be matched to each riders experience and ability. Draw up on horse-back alongside our 18 acre billabong for a billy tea over a camp fire and the chance to see a croc in the wild!

Our Quad Bikes are easy to ride and provide the perfect adventure. With a fleet of both 90cc and 250cc bikes, your guides will ensure the perfect balance between safety and fun! So easy to ride, our group sizes remain small, to guarantee your personalized experience. Anyone can do it!

Highly recommend! So much fun! Great views, lovely staff, and awesome activities. The ponies are smart and docile. Riding an ATV is super! Both activities are safe and interesting. It was raining a little bit when we were riding the horse, but that made the views even better. The grass, bush, and lake are so beautiful. And when we were riding the ATV, it was muddy but that's where the fun is. Don't miss it!
Did the ATV quad bike and Horse ride package. Man I'm going to sleep well tonight! Picturesque country with plenty of native birds, butterflies and you beaut Brumbies. Nestled in amoungst cane fields 15 minutes from Cairns it feels miles from anywhere and even comes with a billabong complete with salt water crocodile. I rode a horse called Peter who loyally followed the leader Lolly and was very patient with me. The ATV was dusty and muddy so ladies, forget about looking pretty, you're going to get grubby! Muck in a enjoy the ride! Michael took us through lots of mud, cane fields and rough terrain. It was my first time and I'm not embarrassed to admit I'm a bit sore now. It's a pretty full on day and I'd recommend long pants and long sleeves for going through the cane as well as being out in the sun. sunscreen was provided. I'd also recommend a cap and sun glasses. All loose items such as mobile phones, car keys etc are left in a secure lock box at reception. Totally recommend leaving everything behind as one lady did lose an item on the horse ride. Most days a photographer tags along so you can immerse yourself in the experience and get the most out of it. Michael took pics today as well as guided the tours. It's a really full day and I'd totally recommend it for families as well as corporate functions. The staff are great, the horses are gorgeous and the disconnect from mobile phones etc and just being outside is fantastic.
Only 15 minutes out of Cairns. This place is a full day of fun. Quad bikes, mud, Brumbies and a salt water crocodile in the billabong hidden behind cane fields. Get out of the house and saddle up! Leave the x-box, mobile phone and FB behind and actually enjoy being outside in one of the prettiest places around.

Loads of fun. Got on the first morning run before it got to hot. Great mix of fields to go through with dusty parts to slide out and muddy bits to flick mud around. Bring a change of clothes for when you're done and some sunnies or goggles for the ride. Helmet provided along with sunscreen and bug repellent. Some gumboots and old sunnies available if you get in early.
Had an absolute blast quad biking with these guys ! Our guide Brad was really nice and we good fun while biking through the mud. Would definitely recommend for a half day activity!!
My partner and i went and the staff were amazing we were adrenaline ready for the quads so got taken on another group and had a ball! So much fun highly recommend. Best date day out on our holidays to cairns!!
Highly recommend Blazing Saddles for everybody to try! My brothers and I did the quad biking experience, and we enjoyed it so much, we went back a second time 2 days later! The staff are brilliant to deal with, the experience is amazing, and the staff are quite accommodating to your needs. If you want to go slow, they're very patient, will help you out and keep you guided. If you want to go faster, they'll be there to give you a brilliant experience, all the while keeping you safe. Thank you very much guys!!
I highly recommend this place. When you think you have nothing to do in Cairns while it’s raining this is a must for horse riding. They pick you up and take you out to the range and the horses are all ready for your ride. Doing this in the rain was such a unique experience and our tour guide was so lovely. At the end you can buy photos taken of you during the ride. Must do!
Had such a fantastic morning horse riding. Great property, lovely people, amazing experience. A tour guide took me on my own separate ride because i had more experience than the other riders, extra effort to give me the best experience. Couldnt rate any higher.
