Like other families, we relied on OSHC to care for our child before and after school. Our experience here was extremely disappointing and often distressing. Our child was bullied or simply not listened to by staff who seemed more intent on ignoring the issue or somehow trying to apportion blame on us. We were aware there were other kids also in the same boat and that the perpetrators -usually older with foul mouths - were not held accountable. No effort was made to keep kids apart or to counsel them. The staff were too young, even the condescending 30-something person in charge seemed too immature to be in the role. She was big on melodrama but small on accountability. There were more than 60-70 kids there at any one time and they were poorly managed. The OSHC unit is a huge money-making exercise for the school and that’s all they seem concerned about. It was so disappointing and stressful. Families deserved better.
A good school with nice staff and good facilities. The school has done a lot in terms of improvement since our son has been there including front fence and major improvements to car park. Those complaining about schools policing about parking - pickups should better organize themselves to pick their kids up after school has FINISHED instead of coming 1/2hr early causing a traffic jam / obstructions. The school has done great job. The kiss and drop works well if people come and there kids are already there waiting and they get in and go and so on
Honestly speaking this is the best school with very good and helping teachers with very good principal Ms Kris Robson.nWe have had noticed a lot of positive changes/ development in all aspects of our sons personality since Faaris joined Blackwood Primary school and we really want to share our sincerest thank you to all of BPS team.
It will be the wrost school in south area under new managment. they care nothing but parking, stopping when you drop off or pick up your child.nInteresting...
Worst school ever NEVER go there its hell It gave me anxiety and stress.
