"The Club you see today opened it’s doors on December 13, 1998, with the original sporting and recreation club owned by the club receiving it’s first liquor licence on July 15, 1978. Workers Sports is a modern and functional venue featuring a Sports Bar and Lounge, International Buffet, Coffee Shop, and a popular outdoor area. The Club is located on the H.E. Laybutt Reserve, adjacent to the renowned sporting complex which features two soccer fields, two rugby league fields/cricket ovals, three bowling greens, five all weather tennis courts and a baseball diamond. The H.E. Laybutt Sporting complex is home to many of our affiliated sporting teams and sub-clubs, boasting some 7,000 sportsmen and women, seniors and juniors."

Had seafood buffet at Saturday night, many choices and good price .
It is a nice little club. Been there a few times now. Have only ever eaten in the cafe, but the food is good in there, and you get a good variety of light meals, full meals, and oriental dishes, and the prices are reasonable. My friend I had lunch with is a smoker, so we had to go to an outdoor area when she wanted to smoke, but it is nice, with a play area for kids, and a nice garden in between bowling greens. The staff are friendly. Well worth a visit.
Sports has buffet which is busy. You can eat cold or hot food. Many varieties of food to eat. Take your pick what you want to eat. Very popular and different times packed out. Food is very good. Another visit is on the cards. Reasonable prices to eat all that you want.
A predictably club-like feel, it has a good buffet that the locals can't seem to get enough of. It's relaxing. A good place to enjoy a sumptuous lunch and a good glass..or two. I've had the odd lass recognise me and request me to belt out the old Tom Jones and Englebert number after which I could expect shower of granny bloomers thrown at me. I politely promised to sing another time and stuffed a salmon puff in my mouth.
First time in sport cafe. It’s really impress me with quality of food and service. I love how the team provide their work timely, super clean place and they are super friendly. Food is really good. Come with huge portion. Thank you sport cafe team for a yummy food and great service. I like to credit to a lady chef who manage her team and this place so well. Can’t wait for the next visit
Workers Sports Club is an excellent place to spend time with your family. The atmosphere is very relaxing and cozy, and the service is outstanding. My kids enjoyed the play area, and I enjoyed the delicious food and drinks.
Mediocre choice of food... If you have been to Star Buffet, it's only 1/3 the choice of food. Taste also is hit or miss. Sometimes too salty, sometimes not much flavour. But if you just want to fill your belly, then this is the place.
Love this space! Outside area in summer is fantastic, you can enjoy a beer while your kids play in the water park area! Buffet food was great also
Great band “The Shades” on Saturday night! Good fun, thank you to the Club for the music
Sandra the manager is atrocious she lacks manners and needs lessons in elocution. She hears a foreign accent and is quick to be racist and also used the language 'I can stop you coming in here if I like' when one asks a simple question about the access requirements. Michelle the other staff member was great she even looked over in shock at Sandra's vulgar mannerism. I would not visit this club again and intend to make a formal complaint to Chair lady.
