Blackeby’s Old Sweet Shop is the biggest lolly shop in Adelaide. Beautiful sweet shop with a wide range of sweets, chocolates, and sours. Highly recommended.
Fairly nice sweet shop with a wide variety of sweets, sours, chips, chocolates and overseas selection available. There is a card surcharge for anything under $3 AUD Blackabys is a shop that has been around for many years and has so many things and is well liked. It has many cheap things from 10c to much more expensive things... things for kids and adults alike!
A little on the expensive side but it's one of the only places to get UK crisps and chocolate, so you don't have much choice. To be fair, they have had huge issues with doing over from the UK. Also has a good selection of NZ and USA sweets and snacks too.
Such an amazing experience here! Such a rustic vibe inside, with a wide range of candy! I found some things here I've been wanting to taste again for a very long time! And the lady at the counter was super sweet! Definitely one of my most favorite places in Adelaide, my only regret is not finding it earlier!
I never usually write reviews when I go to a shop but the service here was amazing. The young lady serving at the counter was so kind and friendly, I believe her name was Cyndi. There is such a wide range of candy here as well. All up, this place is a wonderful sweet shop with wonderful service. Highly recommend.
This hidden gem is located on James Place amongst all the eateries. It is a beautiful store, a child’s dream candy store.... It has had a recent reshuffle on the inside and it looks even roomier, makes the store more enticing. The kids never get bore coming here, they prefer this one to the other in TTP.
Love coming here for my British sweets and crisps chips. The rest of thr range is grest too and the staff are friendly. Happy place!
This is a wonderful sweet shop. Full of sweets that I remember from my childhood. I highly recommend this place, its done up beautifully outside, the inside is jam packed with a vast variety of sweets, complete with creaking wooden floorboards, another reminder of my childhood, but this time of my old family home.
After checking Charlesworth, Haighs and Koko Black for pineapple or melon candy, I was finally referred to Blackebys and I did not leave disappointed. They have an excellent variety of candy flavours and a couple of sections of potentially fancier candy which I did not look at. The staff were nice and quick to serve me at the checkout, and the store was overall visually pleasing. Now my favourite, affordable candy shop in Adelaide.
This is a great little store full of exciting and exotic Candy from a few locations around the world. The jelly bean dispenser has so many flavours that I had never seen before, and you can purchase as much or as little as you like. We went in during Halloween and so they had a few extra special treats on the day. Definitely worth visiting and buying some yummy treats.
