A great vantage point for seeing the sun set. Fishermen catch fish along the edge of the jetty. The entrance section is currently blocked off due to unstable foundations but there is a metal by pass walk way.
Great view with lots of easy parking and public toilets.nnLots of people fishing off the jetty for gar fish and whiting.
Awesome place to just sit and think
Great spot for watching the sunset, walking, playing on the beach, boating and there’s a cafe where you can get something to eat.nnAs a snorkeling spot, I was disappointed. It has a reputation as a good spot to see seahorses under the pier BUT it’s right next to a boat ramp and it’s a popular fishing spot. During my snorkel, there were boats and jet skis coming in and out of the area and it just didn’t feel safe. My sister got tangled in some discarded fishing wire under the pier and there was a lot of it, very dangerous for sealift and swimmers. Take a dive knife and dive flag and be very aware of your surroundings.nThere’s some sea life around the rocky corner where it’s quieter and less boat activity, see pic.nnParking is very limited in summer.
Great views. There is a small restaurant nearby which had snacks, fish and chips, etc. the jetty is also close to “Red Bluff lookout” with many car parking slots. Please check if parking ticket is needed as per your time of entry. I saw some parking inspectors checking all cars for valid parking ticket on a Saturday evening. Hope this helps, thanks.
