"We are a small Cafe in the main street of Kiama, serving Australian & South African cuisines. People describe our setting as very comfortable with a lounge area for customers to relax, sit back and have afternoon tea or play a game of Chess. Our most popular dishes come from the Western Cape of South Africa serving classics like Bunny Chow, Sosaties, Boerewors, Malva Pudding & Koeksisters and sometimes, if you're hungry, the very famous Cape Town Great Gatsby"

First time having South African food and it was really good! This was a platter for 2 but 3 of us couldn't finish it. Iced coffees were spot on with real ice cream and they made it soy for me. The owners/workers I'm assuming here were super friendly. Vibe of the restaurant was also super nice. Would come back. The babootie was our tables favourite. Sweet and a bit different.
Greeted with a warm welcome, we stopped in to try something a little different in Kiama. The vibe was amazing with lovely decor, friendly staff and live music outside. We chose from the Sth African menu and it was brilliant - fresh and tasty and put the Bitlong on the side to make mine vegetarian but for my fiance to eat instead. Both meals were yum. We saw other meals going out which all looked great too and huge - you won't walk away hungry!. The iced coffee and mocha were also really tasty. Highly recommend this place for its chill vibe, beautiful food & lovely staff.
What a delightful find. The food was so tasty, coffee fabulous, great service, nice and cool atmosphere, inside away from the hustle and bustle, with relaxing music playing. Why go fish and chips, when you can try the South African dishes? Definitely recommend this. Yet everyone eating outside was enjoying the food going out. I will be back to try something different again next time and hopefully have room for a yummy dessert.
Stopped in for lunch and was surprised to find special menu offering south African food.We ordered the tasting plate for 1 and decided to share as we weren't that hungry. Luckily we did, as the serving was massive, if we ordered the tasting plate for 2 we never could have finished. Food was great, really tasty and fresh. Service was fast and staff were friendly and helpful, recommend giving it a try.
I haven't had South African food before so asked for a recommendation. I had the Cape Malay chicken bunny chow. It was nicely spiced and I had the mild version. I would like to try a spicier version another time. Good service and nice environment.
We visit this place few days after christmas, so the place was very busy. We love the service, the lady who served us was very nice. The food also very nice. Their South African Specials is recommended!
What a find! South African husband felt like he was at home. Everything we ordered was delicious - the share plate was so generous in size and flavours. Peppermint crisp cake was to die for! We can't wait to go back
A walk down memory lane. Took hubby for a little taste of South Africa as I haven't been home for over 13 years and came across this little gem in Kiama. All I can say is it didn't disappoint. Not only was the customer service amazing the food was excellent. The way that bunny chow melts in your mouth is just yum! We will be back again and again! Highly recommend
The cosy interior is really lovely when you're looking for something out of the chilly wind on a cold wintery day. They have a really cute couch area with a faux wood burning fire. They do an all-day breakfast and lunch menu. The staff are very friendly and service is quick. The berry cake we had was great. It had the flavour of a blueberry muffin, but with the texture of a moist, sense, syrup cake. Delicious.
Excellent South African cuisine!! We had the tasting plate, great traditional flavours and true South African generosity. The cafe itself has great character, and would be proud to bring my Ausie mates along to try some flavours from RSA. Service was also top notch!!
