Went on a Saturday morning. Excellent and quick service. Nice variety of baked goods and coffee was also nice sadly no soy option- only oat and almond.nGot a delicious cinnamon scroll and focaccia. Wish they would heat it up prior serving it.nHighly recommend it.
Chanced upon this coffee shop on the way to Scenic World Blue Mountains. I was lucky to order and get a seat before it got packed. Tried a small cup of white espresso Killerbee single origin with oat milk and a palmier for 10.5AUD ~ 385PHP. Note that they don't have iced drinks. Staff were super friendly and even helped me with the confusing Aussie coins haha thanks!
I ordered the pain au chocolat and the custard cinnamon donut. The pastry was nice, though a little hard, but this is understandable in winter. The donut was delicious! The custard wasn’t too sweet or overpowering.nnThe café itself was very busy and felt pretty cramped and loud inside, so it was a bit overstimulating. Coffee took a little while to come out, but the barista was clearly under the pump and doing their best.
One of the BEST cinnamon croissants we had in Sydney!! Citrus curd earl grey cream sourdough donut was also amazingggg! Would love to try other things which were sold out when we got there!
Black Cockatoo Bakery in Katoomba absolutely blew us away. The cappuccino was made with some of the nicest coffee beans we’ve had in a long time—smooth, rich, and perfectly balanced. You can really taste the quality.nnBut the real standout was the croissant. Honestly, it’s up there with the best in Australia—flaky, golden, and super crunchy on the outside, with a soft, airy interior that practically melts in your mouth. It was so good, we ended up buying three baguettes to take home because we didn’t want the experience to end.nnThis place is a must-visit if you’re in the Blue Mountains. Amazing pastries, great coffee, and a cozy little atmosphere that makes you want to stay a while. Can’t wait to go back!nnfollow us on Instagram if you want more food reviews @nini.nomss
