An oldy but still a goody! Wonderful ambience with fantastic food with French flair perfectly cooked and delivered. And for decades now, totally reliable. I have never been disappointed by Bistro Moncur and has my absolute recommendation.
We have been visiting Bistro Moncur for years now. Over that time it has never disappointed. Food remains as good as ever & the service friendly & efficient.
Beautiful dining room. Good service. Excellent food, including some blasts from the past bombe alaska, worked out perfectly. Definitely a great dining experience. A trifle expensive, but forgivable due to the quality of the meal.

Bistro Moncur has excelled with perfect table distancing; taking care of its clientele and staff alike. The food is always delightful and the service perfect. Your maitre d, Paul, is conceivably the restaurant's greatest asset.
Very good, not great. Crab omelette, beans with hazelnuts and wine list - superb. Tuna tartare slightly sweet. Duck cassoulet and John Dory mains slightly too salty and not quite perfect. Ambience slightly off - perhaps due to COVID we visited for dinner on 2 Jan 2021.
Never disappoints, delicious one day perfect the next! Gourmet but satisfying, couched in delightful service. An outstanding , iconic Australian establishment.
