Sunday lunch at the Grand View Hotel Bistro was very enjoyable. Good number of menu options and specials board offerings. The Chicken and Mushroom Penne pasta was so good and a generous portion. Fish and chips, fish was a little overdone but it happens. The garlic bread was amazing. Service was friendly and efficient, there when you needed them. We will be back.
Pretty great pub grub. The table service was a bit clunky - we had a booking for 2, but our table only had 1 chair. Table service was great for ordering food. The parmigiana was good, and the steak was great. Especially the very peppery pepper sauce. The place was fairly full however it wasn't noisy which I appreciated. Would definitely go back.
Dinned on a Sunday evening. Ordered the chicken Maryland which was a breast and winglet. Chicken Maryland should be the cut of the chicken that consists of the whole leg and thigh so completely the wrong part of the chicken at $31.nThe chilli con carne is like a strange pretend nachos at $23. Very disappointing.nNo pool tables and we won’t be back
Not family friendly if you want to go somewhere for a relaxing afternoon drink. You cannot go in just for a drink, you either need to all be over 18 or eating at the bistro or sit outside in the cold concrete beer garden.
As far as pub food goes, Grandview Bistro has one of the better bistros I've eaten in. The food is fresh, well made, generous portions and tasted great. I would definitely recommend dropping in here for lunch if you're looking for an above average pub feed, the chefs are very good at what they do.nnThe pub itself is warm and lively, and the beer is cold and delicious. Table service is a nice, friendly touch.nnWe will be back for sure.
