Enjoyed our time here. I had poached eggs on sourdough with a hash brown and bacon. My friend selected salmon with mushrooms. Topped off with a hot choc and chai latte. The garden is lovely and you can pop into the authentic sweetie shop if you wish.Food: 5/5
Loved visiting Birdswoods. We had a delicious cake and perculated coffee that we enjoyed. Their barista was away because of covid. I loved the gallery, my husband bought himself a hat. The walk around the garden isn't to be missed as plenty of interesting sculptures to see. I recommend a visit here.
Such a lovely place to visit while in Hawks Bay. Comfy vibe inside out. Foods are all delicious. Can spend quite a lot of time scrolling around the sculpture garden.Food: 5/5
Beautiful gardens, good food and coffee. The shop has lots of fun and interesting curios and art from Africa. We were told by a friend to try the French press coffee, but these weren't available over the summer holidays unfortunately - hopefully next time. Nevertheless we had a very lovely lunch at birdwoods.Food: 5/5
Neat little spot with loads of room and fun things to do. There is art and sculptures all around the garden with loads of room and activities for the little ones. Sweet shop was awesome and had tons of old school lollies. Staff were friendly and nice. Can’t go wrong if you want to head here for a coffee and food - plenty of things to keep the kids busy too.

There is a gallery, café a beautiful sculpture garden, and an old school sweet shop The Gallery features New Zealand and African art and crafts including textiles, collectables, furniture, jewellery, basketry and ceramics The food looked and smelled amazing. They also offered caninet food like delicious cakes, scones, with tea and espresso coffee Bookings are essential. Unfortunately I was turned away, or had a very long wait because I didn't book The Sculpture Garden is quite expansive and displays works by acclaimed stone sculptors, as well as artists using recycled material The Sweet Shop allows you to take a step back in time, selling hundreds ofold fashioned sweets from my childhood

Visited when Birdwoods had the garden BBQ event, loved the setting. Beautiful gardens, plenty of shaded tables. Brilliant idea of the garden BBQ and help yourself salad. The meat filling was filled in the bread. Have heard of the nice iced chocbut wasn't available. My choice to score a 4 due to wanting to try the day to day food drink. Give it a go , you can with your furry friend! Kid-friendliness: Plenty of activities, from tree swings to featured gardens
I belong to a Red Hat group. We were a large party and they kept us up to date as to what our wait would be, which was much appreciated. We are a little fussy being more senior and as fast I know everyone were very happy with their meal. As for my dish pulled beef cheek, it was absolutely delicious. The presentation also was amazing . Congratulations to, what must have been a very busy kitchen. Our waiting staff were calm, friendly and efficient. It is one of my favorite places in the Bay. They even have rugs on the chairs incase it is a little chilly. With everything they have to offer from the restaurant, lollies shop, outstanding gardens,amazing gifts, dog friendly, I could go on. If you haven't been, you are missing out on a treat You don't have to eat, but you should spoil yourself and have a coffee and the most decadent custard ever. Or maybe a scone, cream and jam. Go for it. Enjoy the amazing hand carved art in the garden..You won't be disappointed. Helena ...
