The atmosphere is terrific with a central large fireplace crackling in the background. All courses are to a very high standard. The dishes themselves tend to be sweet. Anyone should be able to find something to love on the menu. Kid-friendliness: Kids menu available Parking: Plenty of parking
Beautiful restaurant, great service . Weekend evening has a 2 course for $65 or 3 courses for $73. Food selection was great and portions were generous. We only got the 2 course and still couldn’t quite finish the main meal . Only slight negative was theBBQ pork loin was a bit fatty and hard to cut with the knife . Still edible but not to the high standard the rest of the food was . Even at night you could tell the views are amazing. The fireplace in the middle would be so cozy in winter .
All round amazing ! from the staff, the food, the service and attention to detail. My husband and I had a 2 course lunch here entrees & mains and the food was delicious, very flavoursome & cooked to perfection! Had some great conversations with the wait staff too. Such a great view and restaurant layout, we'll be back !
Birches Restaurant is located on a beautiful scenic mountain drive at Mount Mee overlooking beautiful greenery and unmistakable Brisbane country land. They're open for both lunch and dinner, while serving a range of locally sourced meats and seafoods options alongside some amazing cocktails and drinks! Just like most of the other restaurants they offer both indoor and alfresco dining in a tranquil setting. From the moment we arrived until we left, the hostess waitresses had beautiful rememberable hospitality customer service like nun other. What’s the menu like: AMAZING What we ordered: 8 people, 3 courses each at $73 What I had • duck spring rolls • chicken and bug • chocolate fudge cake Hubby had • Greek spiced calamari • eye fillet cooked medium • chocolate caramel macadamia tart The food was so worth it. The food all arrived at the table at the same time. Impressive. Very generous sizes. Each plate looked carefully handcrafted and the flavours took us all to places where we couldn’t stop talking about it. In that moment we all became professional food critics. We were all blown away by how delicious our food was. Certainly a very talented chef. Hidden gem. Highly recommend giving Birches a try. They are welcoming and friendly and you need to phone or email to make reservations. Would recommend making a reservation so they can cater to you.
Omg what an amazing restaurant! We had the 3 course meal option. There were four of us and not one of us came out disappointed. The meals/deserts were so beautiful and well presented full of flavour & great sizes. Cocktails were also well made and fresh, no fake ingredients. Totally recommend this restaurant the staff were so lovely and full of smiles, hats off to the chef. Thank you Birches, have not been able to rave this much about a restaurant in a very long time, we will be back
What an amazing place, quality food that we couldn’t get enough of, professional & beautiful friendly staff, we simply can’t wait to come back! Everyone’s meals were nothing short of incredible & mouth watering!! We loved being there for dinner & chatted the whole drive home about how good it was
Though it was a long drive of about 45mins+ from Brisbane City, it was definitely worth a journey across the mountains and farms. The atmosphere was amazing, the service too was good and not to forget, Our Compliments to The Chef. This is the first time in my life, I tasted something new and it was different. My Uncle forced me to have Moreton Bay Bug. When I heard the name, I said no way I'm going to eat Bugs for Lunch . But then I realized it's a kind of sea food and tasted like Crab and Prawns not exactly though. While the other Family members had Fish of the Day with Prawns, Gourmet Steak Burger and Eye Fillet Steak. I tasted everything and it was good. Finally we ended our meal with Deserts, and it was best thing to do . From Lemon Myrtle & Vanilla Bean Panacotta to Decadent Chocolate Pecan Whiskey Fudge Cake to Apple, Blueberry & Almond Crumble. We enjoyed even bite of our meal.
We visited on a weekend where there is a 2 or 3 course set menu with many options. The atmosphere was excellent, the service really good and the food sublime.
WOW okay first off the fireplace itself is amazing. the VIEWS were amazing. even though the prices are a little high, the portions and taste make it worth it. The servers are extremely kind and thoughtful. i’d definitely recommend this place!
Outstanding food, beautiful restaurant nestled on top of the mountain. We can’t wait to return for another incredible dining experience.
