What a music store worth the drive multi levels with drums and percussion on the lower level being a guitarist my main focus was on the second level with a wide selection of electric guitars and bass guitars and the acoustic selection was outstanding the room setup for trying out the higher end acoustic guitars was brilliant large padded seats the room really enhances the sound of the guitars by favourite was the Maton selection , the upper level had keyboards, pianos and pa system mixing consoles the staff are friendly and knowledgeable and willing to lend a hand , I could of spent hours in store drooling over the mint guitars . Yes this store is amazing and a definite one stop for any musician for all their supplies, parking is also ample with undercover parking so your purchases don't get wet will be my go to music store whenever I'm in Melbourne
I ordered a Fender FrFr amplifier and it was an easy transaction. Sadly dealing with team global express the delivery company was not. They would not deliver to my door and wanted me to collect the item myself 20 kilometres from my house. Luckily I had Maria from the Billy Hyde web sales team sort a redelivery to my door. Thanks to Maria I got my amplifier before the weekend. Thanks again Maria for your great service.
Yesterday my new Classic Vibe 70s Jaguar arrived, ordered a week ago. Except it wasn’t new - clear signs it had been played vigorously and packed poorly in bubble wrap, causing it to get damaged in transit. The box was open at one end, as the guitar had been sliding up and down due to insufficient packing material, and alas other bits were missing. I took photos and sent a reply to the web order team and had to do it all over again today. I have asked for a new replacement or a refund, so let’s see what happens.

Buyer beware! Do not buy anything from Billy Hyde Music Nunawading. We purchased a guitar from their store, and unfortunately, it turned out to be faulty. Hoping for a straightforward resolution, we approached the shop and explained the situation.nnWe were informed that they would not issue a refund and instead suggested I contact the manufacturer directly. This was quite surprising, especially because consumer protection laws require them to uphold the choice of the customer to receive either a refund or exchange of faulty goods. They offered me store credit instead, which feels inadequate given that I couldn't even use the product I originally paid for.nnWhile I understand that some issues may fall under manufacturer warranties, as the retailer, they should be able to assist customers with defective items. A shop that reflects good customer service would ideally take responsibility for the products they sell, especially if they are sold as new.nnThe staff seemed dismissive of concerns and repeated the store’s policies without much empathy. It left me feeling undervalued as a customer and stolen from.nnGiven the importance of customer service in retail, I cannot recommend this shop if you prefer a hassle-free and a honest purchasing experience. I hope they reconsider their policies and improve their approach to customer service and upholding the law.
