After a few days at Brunswick Heads we were over overpriced, pretentious tourist traps so we ventured a little off track for something different and we are glad we did. Fantastic food! Tasty, well presented and cooked just right. From the Tandoori chicken, the subtle Bombay beef and the taste sensation of chicken tikka Marsala we were delighted. To top it off, the service was friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended!
Ordered quite a few times and dined in 2 times as well. Food quality is consistently very good, and my parents in law who can be quite fuzzy when it comes to Indian food loved it too. Will come back!
Really enjoyed the food. See photos. , Atmosphere was nice. Wait staff were quick and efficient but note it is not fine dining.
Little gem in middle of a small town with great tasty food and service. I really loved the fact that even though there was just 1 lady with 4 customers to look after, she was able to give a good attention to everyone. The food was really tasty, not oily and good balance of spices. Will definitely recommend anyone craving Indian food to stop by here. I definitely will whenever I am on the road.
Favourite Indian restaurant, food is fabulous, travel from Gold Coast to enjoy the food. Highly recommended
The worst Indian I’ve had to date. Beyond disappointed and surprised this restaurant gets. 4.3 rating on google. Sad. First of, I call and after rudely being put on hold I wait.. 8 minutes go by and still no one picks up. I can hear lots of background noise and im a chef so I assume they’re busy and have complete sympathy and understanding. I decide to drive there, as we arrive I decide to show the young blonde woman that is obviously doing nothing that I’m still on hold. She the notices that she’s left her phone on the counter .. right in front of where she is. She’s completely unapologetic and quite frankly unprofessional. Then followed by the chef coming out of the kitchen to tell us they’re closed. There was no one in the restaurant except staff so the pure ignorance of this woman was unacceptable. The chef offered to cook us a butter chicken regardless of them being closed and when I mentioned I was dairy intolerant he was willing to sort something out for me. Very kind of him as I know what it’s like to serve a customer after close. Well, we came for naan and Curries. No naan and definitely no ‘curries’. The worst ‘butter chicken’ I’ve ever tasted. Flavourless, chicken in a tomato cream sauce. Nothing that resembled a curry. My dairy free option was no better. It’s been nearly two weeks since I had my meal here but this conversation has came up a few times at work and I couldn’t neglect leaving a review considering the lack of care from the front of house. The saving grace was the chefs care to still make us a meal after the drive, but still wasn’t worth 40 or the petrol. Won’t go here again.
I'd give them 5 stars just for their food I love it so much, it's not just "food" to me, it's like a therapy that makes me feel like I'm alive in a new way!!!. I only deducted 1 star, coz over the last 3 years, too often it's felt like it's been too difficult to even just find out when or if they might be open, let alone make any type of contact with them via phone. This has included frustrations with their online info, which has sometimes seemed too misleading, uninformative, inconsistent, &/or not updated for too long. However I hope everyone can give them some extra compassion & kindness coz it's been an extremely difficult 3 years for everyone from around this area - including unprecedented terrible bushfires, then flood, then covid lockdowns & NSW/Qld state border closures coz of covid, & then extreme unprecedented flooding in 2022. I do know the latter event definately resulted in massive, widespread, prolonged, & ongoing problems with local phone & internet services, including NBN & mobile services. I don't understand exactly the reasons they might have for all the phone &/or online tech problems I've encountered when trying to contact them or get any info from them over the last 3 years, including yesterday!. But I won't give up on them coz i love their food too much!
Delightful tasty dishes one of the best Indian restaurants in the area , so yummy.
The only prerequisite we had for buying a house was that it was within walking distance to billis Indian. The staff are incredibly friendly and the food is fantastic. Between billis Indian and Billinudgel pub no one ever need go to ocean shores again.
As an Indian, it’s pretty hard to find good Indian food in Australia. But this restaurant has One of the best Indian food in Australia. I really loved that, highly recommended.
