Bill's Fish & Chips

Fantastic venue set in beautiful French countryside. Bill and Ruth Moore couldn't have been more welcoming and helpful. Good facilities on site and a supermarket 5 minutes away means a stay here guarantees complete relaxation and escapism with great French carp fishing.

Great complex of lakes for carp anglers. Bill's lake one has some great fish but due to floods in July 2021 the stocking level is now unknown. The fishing has been hard since the floods. There is still the chance of a fish of a lifetime such as the one I caught. The round fish at 73.70lbs. Would like to have seen lights in the toilets and shower room as it's pitch black at night.

Visited bills lake 5 back in April for the first time. Lovely lakes .caught a fair amount of fish up to 47lb, all fish were in a beautiful condition. The lakes are close to a town with a large supermarket. Bill is a brilliant host and it's clear that he wants you to enjoy your holiday and catch! His hints and tips for lake 5 were spot on! He's also happy to pick you up bits from the town or place orders for takeaways that are delivered to your swim. Loved the place so much that I booked again when i was back in the UK. Counting down the days till Octobers session on lake one!

Nearing the end of our fishing trip here on Bills lake 5, it’s a fantastic lake with a great layout. Some really smashing fish in tip top condition!. This trip is with the wife, the next trip will be with the children too, it’s safe and tidy for all ages. Bill and Ruth are more than helpful and are happy to give advise to those who ask for it. Local hospital details and food store loacations are at hand around the lake, should you require them or just want to know for peace of mind. Will be booking up for next year when home there no doubting that. Lake 5 now has very little in the way of weed, as before I came I was looking at google maps, it’s nothing like that, it’s very clean. There is the odd snag the odd branch in the margins, which is normal at every lake Parking behind swims is allowed and makes for an easy stay with peace of mind for safety of your kit. Having all the correct kit is essential. Tip, make sure you bring all your little gems with you because you will need to think outside the box if you want regular takes, we have had 25 fish in 5 days weighing in at about 700lb combined, it’s been alwsome fishing. Stunning venue. Some cracker waters to fish hear. Bill an his missis the owners are really helpful. You can hire bait boats an buy big buckets of mixed particle for a good price, this place is full of huge carp. Also not to far away there is a lidl store which is quite handy for restocking food and drink

Had an amazing week at Bills lake 1!

Nice lake. very very deep. 22ft in places. It's cheaper to the ebro in Spain and you don't have to cart your gear over half of Europe

Fantastic venue great owners extremely helpful and welcoming highly recommend if you haven't been your missing out supermarket is 5min away for all your food and drink

Super lake nice people and you will not get better hosts than Bill and Ruth Five star with five lakes to choose from and all require a different approach
