Since Steph purchased the business, there's been many great and beneficial improvements to the studio! She is an amazing business owner and EXCELLENT with customer service. The other staff are fantastic too, always willing to help and make you feel very welcome! Would highly recommend Bikram Yoga Bayside to ANYONE! 😊

I've been to about 8 bikram centers. I really like Bayside bikram, the main teacher is cool, sensitive to the energy of the class, not a militant like a couple of teachers I've met. Free shampoo is always appreciated after a big sweat. The real magic with bikram of course happens when you go 2 - 3 times a week for a month or more. Glad they have a center in this area. :)

sorry I haven't actually been to BYB, but have been doing Bikram for a number of years and had to respond to the person that said the instructor 'did not allow us to drink water for the majority of the class or leave the room' and that 'this is not common practice for Bikram'. Actually, common practice (as any regular will know) for Bikram is: - the instructor will tell you not to drink water unless between poses so as not to distract other students - but there is is only one 'formal' water break. Further, the idea is that over time, and provided you're well-hydrated before the class (as you should be), ideally you can give up drinking during the classs, as it IS a distraction to the practice. - no-one should leave the room unless it's an 'emergency', and first-timers are told that the goal is to stay in the room for the 1.5 hours. Obviously, if you feel really sick or have to go to the loo, then that would be a reason to leave. Having said the above, no-one is going to physically force you not to drink or not to the leave the room - so ultimately, it is your choice. The instructor may encourage but they can't force you to do anything.

I've been going to BYB since December 2012, the studio is filled with a fantastic group of teachers and students and I can't recommend it highly enough.
