We decided to come to the Big4 holiday park to catch up with some family for the weekend.nWe booked a powered site for our caravan.nCaravan park was well maintained - toilets, bathrooms & camp kitchen were very clean. If your looking for a nice & peaceful park to stay at where you can drop a line & fish & not be annoyed you will enjoy this place.nThe staff were nice & friendly on arrival.nMatt & Jett dog hospitality was amazing nothing was to much.nWill definitely be back
This park has potential. The camp kitchen is nice, the river and park are lovely. The hot water is straight out of hell. Very hot plus or minus? The people running it are not very friendly and let their dogs free range. Also the gates were not working. Made it feel unsafe at night. The gravel roads past the vans are tight and my car was hit. Also they advertise a jumping pillow for the kids and it’s gone. Bit of a let down.
Reading all the other reviews it seems people have missed that this park has been flooded twice in the last year. We had a great stay. The kids enjoyed themselves, the guys got to go fishing and people relaxed.nThe playground in the park isn't fantastic and the jumping pillow is gone, BUT, there is a public playground very close by that the kids loved and plenty of open spaces for the kids to ride bikes, kick the footy etc. We had a great stay!
If you are a camper you get put down the back on a lower level with the ablution blocks well sway along and obstacle strewn path through the maintenance yard. And you share the space with alchoholic homeless man in tiny tent that uses neighbouring tree as toilet. And you pay only marginally less than a nice powered site close to amenities.
Stayed 2 nights on a powered site and would never go back let alone recommend it to anyone. The park owners have 3 dogs which barked day and night and were free range. The park was in need of good clean with the first thing you see is a pile of junk in the owners car port on arrival. This was definitely not the standard I expected from a big 4. Park. Anold hose was left lying across pathway leading to the amenities and it looked like it had been there for quite a long time.
