Love bigw, such a variety of items and great prices. staff are friendly too.nWell stocked.
I've gotten a lot of stuff from Big w, but one time I was looking for some clothes, and I couldn't find the section for the size I wanted. I asked the staff, and they gave me directions, but I still struggled to find what I wanted. I found the section, but it was tiny and there was only a few items there.
The store is good but some of the staff are really weird. one of them named Bianca. We asked her to help us for self check out payment and she look at us very rude without any reaction like we did something wrong. I don't recommend shopping here to be acted like this.
I posted a review about this experience a little while ago without much context because I wasn’t sure whether or not to share it. However, after reflecting on the situation, I hope by sharing this, it can provide some constructive feedback and nothing negative comes from it. happened on 19/12/24, around afternoonnnI had quite a disappointing experience at this store, and while I won't name the employee involved, I believe the customer service at the front could have been better, especially for someone in such a key role.nnI purchased an item from a different store under the same parent company initially I thought, but there was an attached security tag it was a self checkout, we didn't even realize it was there until we got home. I mistakenly assumed Big W could assist with removing it since I had the receipt as proof of purchase. I later realized Big W isn’t affiliated with that store, which was my error.nnWhen I asked the employee if they could remove the tag, they explained they couldn’t because Big W uses a different machine, which was understandable. However, they continued speaking in a hostile manner, as if I had stolen the item. I was already starting to feel uncomfortable and frustrated as they went on and on.nnAs I was leaving the store, the tag beeped. The employee reacted a little loudly, almost raising their voice and making it seem even more like I had stolen the item. They strongly insisted the tag would have beeped as I left the original store, and when I explained that it hadn’t, they dismissed me, saying something along the lines of, 'No, it would have; that's impossible.'nnThe whole experience was embarrassing and frustrating, especially as I was with family members visiting Perth who don’t speak English well. They could only stand by and watch the entire interaction and probably passerbys too. This left me flustered and humiliated.nnTowards the end, I think the employee realized I hadn’t stolen the item and apologized, explaining to my family that it wasn’t that they didn’t want to help, but that they couldn’t. While I appreciated the apology, I felt like the damage had already been done. I feel like the entire situation could have been handled more calmly and professionally from the start.nnI also believe this situation could have been avoided if the interaction had been approached with more understanding and care, especially given that I had the receipt to confirm the purchase. I completely understand that situations like this can happen, but it's important not to assume that anyone asking for help has stolen something.
Big W is located opposite David Jones. Plenty of chocolates and clothing in the store. It's always nice to come here. The price for the items are very reasonable.
