Went to bigW to buy appliances for my sodastream machine and the shelf seemed to have never been cleaned before, the product and shelf was sticky and disgusting. It was very hard to find a bottle that wasnt disgustingly dirty. In the future i would not like to see this again, very atrocious.
An absolutely APPALLING service response by the afternoon Store Manager on May 14th 2026!nAt some point during their renovation and layout refresh, there has been what can only be described as a shift in ‘customer service’ toward the negative. Defensiveness, lack of empathy and a ‘can’t do’ attitude now appear to be the default, where a customers feedback about the deficiencies in online ordering and prioritisation are treated with indifference - the prices may be cheap, but then so is the customer care. Even being neurodivergent, I have enough experience working in retail for some 20+ years to know how to respond to frustrations, offering alternative solutions or simply acknowledging that people are distressed and promising to pass on the response to those in Head Office who may be able to make a change… instead of saying ‘I can’t do anything about it’. What a sad and disappointing standard customer service has fallen to if your resolve is to do nothing.
Just want to commend a staff member at Big W Bendigo. I was served by a most pleasant and helpful lady called Emily. I had some enquiries and her wonderful demeanour and professionalism blew me away.! What an uplifting experience it was for me. Emily was fantastic in every way.
Great new layout. Helps with counting the isles to work out how far away you can smell some of the staff. Great prices on deodorant.
Great place! Spacious, not crowded. Will be great if there's better customer service.
