Brought a bed, to be told after the fact the $99.99 delivery to drive down the road ment at door delivery. What a rip off! How do you expect a solo person to move a bed inside the house?! Had to find somebody to pick it up who could actually help put it inside the bedroom. Would never shop in here again.

Big store, big selection and extremely competitive prices. The sales assistant was very knowledgeable and friendly, we didn't feel hounded which was very much appreciated. Nothing worse than having someone in your face while you are just browsing. As a side note.....expect delays on some items, unfortunately this is a side effect of COVID.
Love Big Save. The only place I get my furniture. Would be even better if staff could speak and understand fluent English. I questioned a deal which "excluded every dày prices" and I found it difficult to understand the sales person, altho a very nice person she also misunderstood what I was asking.
Not very good of a customer service staff was talking to other customers not about just products but everything else and me and my partner waited there for 10-15 min but no one came to ask if we OK or need help passed through the staff about 3 times but no luck may be because me as Indian and my partner Maori and rest were white, hope that not the reason but seems that way. So we gone to beds factory and got us bed and mattress with cash Nd better deal. So yeah..
Easy to deal with, great service. Stored goods until we could pick them up. Helpful friendly staff and excellent quality and value of goods. We highly recommend this store.
Overall I had a good experience here. The staff were helpful and friendly. I ordered a bed which they said would take a maximum of 3 weeks to arrive which ended up taking 4 weeks and then another half week to deliver it, in part due to my schedule. The bed itself is in good condition and is comfortable.
Went to look at beds. Found the one I wanted and it was on special. The salesman came along as I was looking at it and out the normal price sticker back on it. I went elsewhere.
After reading the negative feedback I feel compelled to rate this store based on my experience and cannot say enough about them. I have shopped at this store for a long time and have found them always to be very helpful! I had a faulty part of my lounge suiite and it was fixed promptly a wee while ago. I also just went in to buy a sofa bed and was greeted and helped by an extremely lovely Salesperson, I think she is the manager and she made my shopping experience a delight and I will continue to go and shop in this store. Thank you Big Save Hastings you are the best!
I will never ever purchase anything from these people again, bought a lounge suite which took 3 months to arrive, a lot of empty promises exchanged, no communication at all, I had to speak to the manager who was rude, they didn't even deliver when they said they would. Be very wary when dealing with this Hastings branch, not very professional and they don't rate any stars at all.
