I’ve been going to this store for so long and used to love their food. I’d even stop there before work just to get their chana kulcha, it used to be that good. The chana would be filled right to the top, to the point I had to be careful opening the container so it wouldn’t spill.nBut I went today and honestly, what a letdown. The chana was less than half of what it used to be. Like seriously? And don’t even get me started on the taste! it was bland as hell, all I could taste was salt. What happened??nThe kulchas are still good, I’ll give them that. But with chana like that? Not worth it anymore. I’m actually so annoyed. this used to be one of my favourite spots and now I have to think twice about going back.nnAdding on to my review after the owner has responded -nI am absolutely shocked. I left a completely honest review because the food has gone downhill, and instead of acting like a professional, the owner came back with the most disgusting, rude reply I’ve ever seen. Calling me “shameless” and “salty”? Are you serious? I used to spend my money here regularly. I supported this place for YEARS. And now you attack me for speaking the truth? That’s not just bad business, it’s pathetic and embarrassing. You’ve lost a loyal customer forever, and I’m going to make sure people see the way you treat those who kept you in business. I’ll be posting this everywhere. Thank People need to know the kind of person running this place. Absolutely disgusting.
We’ve been loyal customers of Bhalla Bakery for years, and it’s still our absolute favourite! Even though we no longer live in Papatoetoe, we make the trip from the Waikato every year… just for my orange chocolate cake. That should tell you how special it is! You can truly taste the care and tradition in every bite. The team at Bhalla Bakery always makes us feel welcome, and our annual visit has become a cherished family tradition. Thank you, Bhalla Bakery, for making our celebrations extra sweet, year after year.
One of the best cakes we’ve ever had! The mango cake was absolutely delicious — our guests couldn’t stop eating it or raving about how amazing it tasted. The space-themed decorations were stunning and truly added a special touch to the celebration. Communication was quick and professional, and the delivery was perfectly on time. Super impressed with the whole experience — highly recommended to anyone looking for top-quality cakes and service!
We ordered a cake at short notice and it was absolutely amazing! The decoration was beautiful and the taste biscoff was so delicious as well! We have also ordered other flavours in the past - highly recommend the Mocha flavor
Delicious cake....we ordered butterscotch cake medium size, for our friends baby shower. Really delicious....good customer service, good pricing and correct timing.nNo extra price for writings as well..nNot like the cakes from Cheese cake shop. Really tasty...definitely recommend to everyone...
